Sure. I like the Milwaukee vice grips because of the eyelet on the end you can put a screwdriver in to make them tighter if need be. The double jointed needle nose to tightly hold springs and cables and the little blue pliers are actually wire cutters that are perfect for brake springs

Thought it might be those. Channellock #748 is the model. I have a set but I use them for cutting, they are great for trimming cotter pins.

Why oh why do you want to switch them? What do you expect to gain from the conversion? I’m also wondering what problems you may encounter with the electronics, the abs and brake controlled limited slip etc. when you switch. IMHO it is a time consuming and expensive change without any noticeable benefit. As others have said it’s your truck do what you wanna do. I think everyone is still curious why you want to do this.

I suspect that the majority switching to rear disks is largely marketing. Suddenly your truck looks better when you can show the typical ignorant car shopper the rear disks and say "Look! Shiny! Safer!"

People who really know, know that in the rear of a truck it doesn't matter. Unless you have some super special application that you haven't shared you're wasting your time and money swapping to rear disks.

Proven several times a year in the 24 Hours of Lemons! I want to do those so bad but can't ever seem to get enough people both interested and committed.

I would be more concerned about upgrading the front brakes before touching the rear drums. IMO, upgrading to rear discs is 70-80% looks, with very little improvement in braking distance.
