That's part of the problem. Below the Leafs there's nothing but garbage in the Atlantic. I think they're complacent right now. 3 games, 3 leads lost, 3 OT or shootout loses.

 

High school hockey has went from 5 min major penalty for fighting and getting bitched at by coach/parents In 2007
Present day 5 min major penalty: visit to principals office following day: being suspended from school for 1-5 days (inactive player on team while suspended from school)

 

In the USA. Here it's still up to the league and a first fight is rarely a suspension unless it was right at the end of a game.

Yeah, similar rules to the NCAA.

Every good team has runs of complacency. Sometimes it looks like fatigue setting in. To win convincingly now it seems like a team needs to set such a high tempo pace. The Jets threw up two stinkers before their bye week. They looked tired from maintaining such a high tempo, but they have also also seemed to develop a way to keep it close and then just pour it on in the third to steal wins. You can’t expect to win for long doing that.

The parity in the central is unreal.

 

They seriously just might win the cup. They've pretty much beaten all contenders now so it's not that much of joke anymore.

There is one team though that defies all logic and can beat them, but they currently have to get out of a slump.

Good win for the Pens. Letang pinching on the Kings breakaway goal. Like, why? What goes through that guy's head anymore? He's been better lately but then he will do something idiotic, without fail. So frustrating. Anyways, nice win.

Vegas is a mystery to me. I get it that they have a great coach who has them playing tight, but they are smoking teams on the road too. So my whole theory of home game wins is out the window. I guess they are for real, but I still don't think they will get to the conference finals, let alone the Cup. If they do, then props.

 

Just a fine for Brown. Geno got one too though.

 

I was just googling that like 15 mins ago and didn't see a decision yet, just missed the timing lol

 

I just had twitter up while I was on here, and saw it, so figured I would mention it. But ya, you must've just missed it haha.

 

Just watched the supposed evil 'cross check ' that all the clowns are complaining about. Both players were down and getting up to play the puck, Brown barely tapped him. 2 minute penalty at the most, the zebras messed up yet again with the 10 minute misconduct. The 10 grand fine is just more BS, go after the dirty players not the ones competing fairly like Brown, the second leading scorer on the team.
