Just got off the phone with Windrock...

The trails will still be open, however the campground is already reserved for the Jamboree and Concert. They are expecting thousands of people that weekend and I can only imagine the ensuing shit show that would occur on the trails.

If I changed this event to AOP would everyone get all butthurt?

No event's at AOP that weekend all good. But I want to go in March for crawling for Reid

I'm ok with the change. Make me a maybe though if you don't mind. I've been to AOP, and should be able to come again, but Windrock was going to be priority since I haven't been there before. That being said, I don't want to go to WR with thousands lol

 

Same time and distance to either for me...biggest difference is having to go through ATL for AOP. Either way, location doesn’t change my plans.

I was pretty excited about windrock. Now I’m freaking pumped about AOP. Favorite park.

 

just wish I had more vacation time built up to really go enjoy these places. I'm not a huge fan of 1 day trips even if they are close to me, I like camping AND wheeling.

AOP is one of my favorite parks as well. last time we went, I blew a tire first night, truck sat rest of weekend. now I have a spare for me spare

 

did you ignore the first portion? I don't have the vacation time built up usually to take off and enjoy a park. also, nobody in Alabama likes to do the camping thing since the parks are close.

 

Maybe is for mall crawlers

 

or folks that have to make arrangements for certain things before setting stuff in stone.

I always have to find someone to watch my dogs.

 

This is why I was sure to contact Rush Off Road when I planned our meet. They host multiple national sanctioned events year round there. I had never been, and few who attended had been there. We wanted to explore and see what they offered as a new possible annual event.
