the more i keep looking at your build thread the more i want to do long travel. but im going to stick with mid travel least for now. then my truck will evolve to long travel cause i for several reasons. wish i could keep the stock fenders on though. how big of glass fenders did you go with monte?

those are 4.5'' glass with no rise from Fiberwerx.

You have to run glass. If you don't, your entire tire basically will be uncovered.

and is that a bad thing :p indiana has no laws about that "need fender flares cause your tires are to wide" least to my knowledge but i guess 4.5" looks good to me

Well you should look, id be shocked if they didn't. I bet they do haha or something about mud flaps covering most of the tire or something. Montana does. Wyoming however, does not. I've been pulled over in MT because of it which is BS as the truck is licensed in Wyo.

i consider that a win. Hit a deer on slick roads and stayed on the road and took minimal damage all things considered. Still driving the truck now.

Speaking of deer, saved the ancient artifact from going to waste today.

Dont ask me how it’s been missed all these years.

So I’m comparing the two different shocks. Mine and the truck I just bought and they look about the same height. Although mine are the stock shock and coil but the new ones are 5100’s and OME 881’s coils. Do they Always look the same height side by side?

It's less Tacoma and more mod
Yeah it's the stiffness of the coil that's gonna allow your lift. Only ones that appear longer are extended travel coilovers.

lol no. I was also pissed off

Yep they should be the same as they shocks are designed for OEM geometry. Coil spring rate is what changes ride height.

also..those coils look pretty close to the same. Don't look like OEM coils.
