the caps on mine screwed on/off and then you'll need a 38mm socket (i think it was 38mm, id have to check later if you want) to take the nut off

Pretty sure I fucked up the 0-ring on @Porter707 brand new brute force bumper by unscrewing the aluminum spindle cap for no reason other than to just do it..

 

This thing is just ungodly heavy to do anything with it on my own. Want to spread it apart so it's easier to manhandle IYKWIM.

You’ve said that to me before IIRC.

Apparently can’t lift anything small and light either.

 

It’s not so much the weight it’s having to extend my arm down so far to grab it is what gets me.

 

Swing out is removeable. The alum cap twists off. The nut is like a 36mm i believe. The heavy part is at the spindle side when you lift it up and off. Go straight up or else the bearing can get cocked sideways which makes harde to lift out

 

it sounds like my shocks are done being serviced! waiting on an invoice from DSM. happy Friday!

 

I found my notes, Billy said use a 1-7/16 socket (38mm is what I used based on some random conversion chart google gave me)

I adjusted the float level so the bowl only fills half way.
