Do the airsoft bead method, I tried it on my 33's and I'm never going back to exterior weights. Got them in my motorcycle tires too. Smooth sailing.

I got a lot (a whole trucks worth about) of parts for a third gen 4Runner, need anything? Trying to get rid of it all. Got a frame 10/10 and a black 01 body 8.5/10 with the wide painted SR5 flares.

 

I work at a offroad shop, they are just a pain to keep balanced no matter what. Never had good luck with em.

 

Airsoft beads dynamic balance them. If the balance changes, the beads should compensate. Don't have to keep them balanced. I've recently put them in my LTBs and it made a difference. There's still a bit of vibration but it's either on account of the giant tread lugs or it's driveline vibration (my upper ball joints are pretty sloppy as well, so that could be some of it too). I'll be putting them in the Trail Graps I'll be putting on my T4R soon as well. I'll let you know how that works out since there's no reason why the Nittos shouldn't run smooth on the road.

 

We've tried beads before, i hear more issues with them than without them. Nitto's are by far way better than goodyears imo. Toyo/Nitto/Pro Comp in my book.

Those are really the tires that i sell without any issues.

 

ALSO, i complete pain in the ass when you disassemble the tire to remove them, lmao.

 

Yeah, I can imagine 6 or 8 oz of beads going every where when you dismount them, but better that than a corroded wheel from the lead weights.

 

Honestly with the three brands of tires i just mentioned, we have done 37's-40's in any variety of wheel sizes, with pretty minimal amount of weight.

Just did a set of Toyo's 40-1550-22 took roughly about 4 oz of weight total thats also not stating that some only look roughly about 1-2 oz total.

Pro comp had a bad manufacturer at the beginning of the AT Sport, and since then, they are alot better. XMT2, we did a set of 35/20 and took roughly about 5 total, not bad

Do you just mean tire quality? I used to make Pro Comp MT2 on my 12 valve. Now with my Tacoma I've got the Toyo MTs. I won't lie I was going to go back to Pro Comp but the side tread on the Toyo just looks so slick.

 

toyo probably our #1 seller, i would say, out of 100 sets of tires we would only have issues with maybe 5% of them, normally balancing issue and is fixed with a rebalance.

Pro comp's have come quite a ways from back then with better manufacturer process'
