Great shots and color AND truck! Love the greyed out blues.
I like to process my truck photos like that too. What's the "snorkel" looking thing on the passenger side on the prinsu rack?

Every year a few weeks before one of the biggest college football rivalry games is played (The Civil War between the Oregon Ducks and the Oregon State Beavers) My dentist painted this on his window. Both of us are Duck fans.

This is that real thin bird netting people put over plants to keep birds and other animals out. I took the photo several years ago with a Nikon D200 and the Nikkor 105mm f2.8 VR Macro lens.

Maintenance on a crab boat has got to be a nightmare. Just look at the rust on those hydraulic hose fittings.

I don’t know where flat rock is, but I know this place as moi hole. But yeah, it’s a popular fishing spot. I do fish here often too.

Love that lens! I rented it once and the pictures it took were absolutely stunning. Everything was nice and sharp with great contrast.. I’m jealous! Lol

I love Tacomas and I love photography. This is an awesome thread.

I bought my first Tacoma brand new back in 2005; a TRD OR:

Last spring my wife suggested that we replace it with a new one. Sorry, but if my wife suggests that I buy a new Tacoma my arm will not need twisting.

So we decided to treat this last summer as the last hurrah for the best truck I've ever owned; a sort of homage to what it's always done; get us to where ever we wanted to go. Oh, and no matter where we go I always take my camera and a to-go off camera flash setup. And my wife is always game to accommodate my photographic experiments.

In the spring we headed to Moab. Very few places offer photographic opportunities like Moab:

Shortly afterwards, we took one of many trips out to Utah's west desert country. The old Tacoma has probably spent more time there than anywhere else. Of course, the west desert isn't complete without burning through a few hundred rounds of ammo:

And another trip to the west desert. This time I was trying for a sort of Red Dawn theme. I think the con trail in the sky kind of adds to it:

A place I've taken the Tacoma to often is the Bonneville Salt Flats. It's a great place to take photos and it's a great place to just drive. And drive some more. Every time we go out there it's worth the hour needed to hose off all of the salt:

As July rolled around we headed to California's central coast for some SLO (San Louis Obispo) life for several days. Pismo beach is, I believe, the only beach in California on which you can drive. Drive we did. Take photos I did, too:

After the better part of two weeks in California we came back home and spent several days resting. We then headed up to the mountains of central Idaho's Salmon River country. Up to this point, all of the photos were taken with my Nikon D5200. Just before heading to Idaho, I purchased a Nikon D750.

One of my favorite places is around the McCall area and the surrounding country. We drove to the top of a place called Crystal Mountain and spent a few hours exploring. And taking pics. Previously I had managed to eke quite a lot from the D5200, but the D750 is a whole other level of camera:

After spending time on Crystal Mountain, we dropped down into the Salmon River just outside of Riggins and found an awesome beach to soak our feet in the river:

By this time autumn was setting in and it was time to head back home again and start winding down the 2005 Tacoma's last hurrah. But we did manage to squeak in one last adventure to Little Sahara:

This place is an amazing place for photos.

Now the last hurrah was complete. A couple of weeks ago we decided to go ahead and flip the switch on the new Tacoma and this past Saturday the 2005 TRD OR after 13 years and 223,000 miles was replaced with a 2018 TRD OR:

I'm so excited for some new adventures.

Yes, the winter months can be a bit tough to get out and do some shooting (photo). I recently took on the 100 Strangers Project challenge that has helped me to stay motivated. It means that I basically have my camera on me whenever I go anywhere.

    Including the grocery store ...
