Interestingly, Saratoga Brewing was one of the oldest and largest brewers in New York, but I've never heard of them. I always wonder how some of the breweries that have been around for a long time can stay afloat putting out the same old tired recipes (IMO). As styles evolve and my pallet changes, beers that I thought were great 10 or 15 years ago are now ones that I don't want to drink. Maybe I'm in the minority on that?

I agree. The hardest part these days is the lack of brand loyalty. There are so many beers out each week that more people are only buying something once. The growth of local breweries plays a huge roll too. I'm finding an interesting growth in hyper regionality of beer too. So many people are enamored with the breweries in their neighborhood that they've never heard of the ones across town.

Yeah, I found that funny too. I guess they do a lot of contract brewing.

    Totally agree with this.
I am guilty of doing it too. :anonymous:
I try things once and then move on. I actually said to myself yesterday that I was going to attempt to stay more local for purchases. May have to do that. Support the little (local) guy.

To be fair though, sometimes you can only try it once because a lot of breweries just do a one and done. At least around me. But I'm pretty loyal to my local breweries. But they also don't do a lot of canning and what not

Most of what I said was directed at larger national guys. Small guys that have good rotation are doing very well

Really like the Real Ale stuff. And with bombers under $5, they taste just that much better.

Had a Thrillseeker form Beachwood today at lunch. I gotta stop going there on Fridays at work. I come home after a big sandwich and a beer and just want to pass out. Took my 130 meeting and then napped for an hour and a half

Screw it. Gonna have the last one from the Ommegang 8 pack I bought almost 4 months ago and has been sitting in the back of my kegerator.....which coincidentally I bought the day I bought my Tacoma.

I gave one 8 pack to my salesman, one to the GM who is awesome and one for me :)

    Cheers!
