Looks like he responded to you, seems he's making progress, he's not ignoring you. You gotta be patient, it took like three weeks for me to get my files, but trust me, it's worth it. Pleas see below:

    i hear you on this.

are you, right now, uncomfortable with this situation?

if yes, make this simple and ask for a refund. done, done, and done. no worries about anything unexpected on your truck. and I'm not even being sarcastic. it's the direct solution.

As I have posted, I have the files finished for the 18 and 04B10 updates I just can't send anything while in mainland China.

All of the core components of the 18 ecu are the same. Cam timing, ignition, fuel, all of it.

For anyone that has emailed me since I left my email access is BLOCKED in China I'm not ignoring you. Government controls Internet here please understand that no reply does not mean ignored.

@OVTune - There are a couple of us 04B10 folks looking to test the new file upon your return!

Is this version identical to what 04B11/12 and 2018 users will get, in terms of features (I'm referring to the list of goodies in your previous post #9404)?

Simply put, I would like to know if all M/T owners get the same experience with 1.03B..

    Thanks

Really? I have a legitimate issue and posted mostly to educate others on my experience with the 2018. I'm sure that owners with 18s will be holding off until they know that the tune is available and that it works and that they appreciate posts like this so they can make a proper decision.

Like I already said, I will wait until he sends me my tune and will post the results here. It will be an unbiased review.

A simple automated email message that says you are out of the office and will respond when you return would certainly help.

I look forward to the tune.

Out of curiosity, is the self-cleaning disabled with the tune or is not touched/affected? @OVTune

    From post# 2810:

@OVTune This is a really great question that has not been brought up yet (I've been following since your first post and purchased the tune) and before it was asked I never considered this. I assume it's a separate system function not tied to the mapping the tune edits but confirmation the self cleaning feature still will operate would great.

it's still working as OEM. I can control it, I don't adjust it.

Good lord this thread gets off topic.

I will say this though. While I’ve been present since almost the beginning, I can say the process is still alittle frustrating.
What @OVTune is doing for the community is hands down one of the biggest contributions this community will see with the 3rd gen and I couldn’t praise him enough for that.

However I agree with some of things said in the last few pages and disagree as well. It’s up to @OVTune to decide which direction to go and how he wants to grow his business not mine or anyone else’s.

My initial thoughts being on the outside looking in is that he’s losing a lot of opportunities with the current way things are being done. It’s a good problem to have and I see the potential this guy has to really make his business a much larger operation which is why I think a lot of people get frustrated. Here’s this great product but not enough man power and time to keep up with demand.

Now with that being said, I Realize a lot of people are happy with the tune and the product but I see a lot of Ass kissing and people going on the offensive for @OVTune. This is a public forum and I don’t see a problem with folks posting constructive feedback or criticism. Let the man defend himself if he feels there’s an issue. I realize there’s an asshat here and there and people jump to conclusions but it comes with the territory of having a small business.

@OVTune, I hope you don’t take anything I’ve said negatively in this post. In my personal interactions with you, you seem to be a cool dude with a lot more patience then me and that’s why I’ve stuck around. I truly hope you continue to grow your business and really step it up a notch as your operation can be a lot bigger and better than it is now.

To the rest of you chill the fuck out.
The Tacoma has proven to be a profitable platform. I sincerely doubt @OVTune is gonna leave us anytime soon. Even if he has to deal with a few pain in the ass customers like myself.

    Just my 2cents....
