That sounds like a really good deal. Is your vacation and sick time paid or just off?

The key thing was effective on hire date. That helps a lot since wife is on my insurance. Cobra is outrageous

I say you made the top 3 of candidates. Are you a veteran? For a State job in Pa, if a vet is in the top 3 of interviewees, they get the position.

I think I’ll email director later of a few questions and thank him for the time spent. He said I could email him as he handed me his card.

We build (accrue) our annual leave (AL) and sick leave also. Our AL is capped but our sick just keeps building if we don't use any and it rolls over every year. Good incentive to not take a bunch of frivolous sick days.

    Morning all
    You guys are rough.

Cayenne pepper, sprinkle a little and he will avoid the area. Works for spots they like to pee on also

That's how it works for me as well. When it comes time to retire any unused sick leave gets added as time in service.

Wind is starting to kick up. Mid 40's with a strong cold breeze so I don't think the truck will get washed...

Our company is still nice about sick leave, if you are sick, stay home.

I don't understand why more businesses can't or won't do that. I know it's easily abused, but it's not hard to figure out who does that.
