We have the latches done, just waiting to adapt them to the T4R rear and then the third gen will get them.

Looks like you ran over a hooker and her head dinged the bumper on the way out of the parking lot.

I saw this and thought for sure it was an aluminum bumper. Upon learning it was steel I'm convinced that you are a man that take risks and I like that.

6061 is pretty standard for aluminum.. but probably best to come from them... guessing there was some damage and now repair work is needed?

I think you'd be fine adding the headlight hoops with 6061 even if they make their bumpers with 7075. 7075 is stronger (because of the higher Zinc content), but is harder to work with/weld. Since the headlight hoops aren't exactly a "high-impact" area, you should be good to go.

The potential welder that is going to burn them in just wants to know the grade. Everything, including the hoops FYI, is from Pelfreybilt. I just want to get him the right info so it comes out as best as possible.

Usually tubing has the grade ink stamped on it, but it could be worn off. Your welder is right though, aluminum is tricky to weld, especially with TIG. So it changes what he'll use for filler material and such depending on the grade.
My educated guess would be 6061, I know they are fast to respond to emails/phone calls though
