I have two gorilla spline keys. I'd give you one, but you're all the way down there in The Peoples Republic of Santa Cruz. 'Spose I could drop in the post if you want. Say the word.

Thanks for the offer. I actually got a gorilla key in the mail, but SCS doesn’t use gorilla lugs. Going to hit up some parts stores and tire shops to see if I can find anything that fits or just get a new set. Don’t like that the SCS lugs key is near impossible to find locally. Would suck to not have one on the trail or side of the road. Probably just get some gorilla lugs since they are everywhere.

Well, if it all goes south, and you’re stuck, I could meet you half way. Just bring a lug to guarantee I have the right one.

I hate the high lakes because of the people they tend to get drink and bash your shit till you move over so they can roll over in the trail.
    I'd rather run Ben Lomand
trail to the summit and back for an over night trip. It usually more peaceful. There's other places to go that aren't that bad for us without 37s.

Huh. When I bought my F5s he was out of lugs, so I bought gorillas and a key from Wheeler's, or Amazon, or somewhere. I didn't realize Vin stocks something not compatible with gorilla splines?

Saw a beautifuly built 1975 FJ with a 3.4l Diesel engine in it. The guy is building another 80 that will have a motor from an old Dakar route planning vehicle. I should add the engine and original vehicle are Canadian.

I went back to get my phone for pictures. He was gone when I got back. But I now know who he is :)

So unsafe. Rear tires are only slightly better.

It’d be ok on the trail but probably not going 60mph down the road.

I mean you can get $200 used tires on Craigslist all day.

Nothing should surprise you nowadays. Was at a tire shop the other day and a uber driver came in with a flat. Tire guys told him he needed new rear tires due to the inner edges being completely bald.

    “How do you know”
    Tire guy points
    “This is a 2017 accord you’re wrong”
    Tire guy walks away

Hell where I'm at guys would dismount and turn the tire around to run a few more miles.
It's kinda like underwear. You know turn them inside out and get an other day out of them.
