Mandatory tint, in-channel visors, and 265/75R16 MT Toyos.
I've had the biggest issues with alignment. Albeit could be because I got the alignment at the dealership when I bought the tires. Couldn't pass up their deal on the tires. All 4 265/75R16 for $788 after install.

So far after my last alignment correction it seems to be well but I was being told the MTs were more susceptible to Road crown and fading. Never heard either of those before.

its really strange, I havent had any issues with my Toyo AT2s up until recently (within the last 6 months or so) where I get this random shake at 60+ where it comes and goes and just randomly goes away and back. Not sure if its steering related, alignment related, or something is physically wrong with the tires. ive rotated them every time ive changed my oil almost and gotten alignments regularly. but I have been having some negative camber that the alignment shop said they couldnt fix; I do have 2 new front wheel bearing assemblies, so I know it's not those

Have you tried another set of tires and wheels to confirm it's tire shake?

i dont have another set of tires to use lol, my 265 terra graps arent road worthy because of sidewall plugs, so they are a roller set for my 80

In the last few years ive had ToyoATs, BFG K02s, Toyo MTs, Cooper ST maxx...and I concluded that they all have moods, with the Toyo MT being the best. Sometimes shake at 30, sometimes at 50, sometimes smooth. The ambient temp seems to not be an a cause, how long they sit before driving cycles, what terrain they are parked on.. Basically I’ll conclude, the Toyo MTs are the least sensitive to all that. All were balanced many times, changes for a day, then back to the unknown.

oh dont get me wrong, I love my Toyos too lol, kinda wish i got the MTs over the ATs though, haha, I might just get another set of 35s just in the MTs. That way, I have a set of tires for the 80 once she's running

That's what I'd do lol the MTs have proven too tough and long lasting to even give the RTs a try. Whether its on a 10k F250 or my little baby ass Tacoma. I love em

I'm in Orlando but meh, I can make the drive, if we're using your truck I can just ride up on my motorcycle. If you need a long bed I'll bring my AC/LB, I also have a trailer if need be. I'm off the 25th, could do it that afternoon.

aww man i really appreciate it, but I can't have you going through the trouble, I actually don't have a taco anymore, I totaled it a year ago, I was hoping to borrow an extra pair of hands and a truck, but it really wouldn't be worth your drive, I really do appreciate it you're a good guy, so you have 2 tacos? and a bike? what kinda bike? I'm still into them, but don't ride anymore, I used to have a gsxr

Just a recommendation. Feel free to disregard this bit of wisdom if you want.

If your HiLux is going to be a >90% trail rig, you should really consider putting a set of bias ply tars on her. They will hold up to trail abuse better than radials.

And I can pretty much guarantee if you put Intercos on it (Swampers, Iroks, Trxus, Boggers, etc...), they will last twice as long before they dry-rot to death than any radial (not made by Interco) you put on it.

Ah nah, it's no biggie, if you can't get anyone else I'll give you a hand.

I had a 1st gen, I have a 2nd gen, my buddy has a 1st gen. So only one taco for me.

I was just thinking if you needed to move a couch you must have had a short bed and it wouldn't fit, but man that sucks your truck got wrecked. Bummer.

My bike is an oldy goldy 1984 GL1200 Naked GoldWing, last year they made them naked, in 85 you couldn't buy standards, only the full dresser Interstate and Aspencade.

I've done a lot of work to it, it's kind of a retro-mod at this point, it has Suzuki bars, Valkyrie brake and clutch reservoirs, GL1000 grips, GL1100 gauges (that I've rebuilt), LED's all around, stainless braided lines all around, I modified some clutch internals, and made myself a rear brake pedal as I run with the old school OE running boards, custom shift lever, and a whole lot of TLC and maintenance to make a old lady feel young again. Only 70k miles, 17k of which I've put on it. Done a couple of iron butt rides. :D

Unfortunately it seems I haven't taken a picture of it since I reset my phone...

I'll snap one this morning and post it in here when I get home from work. :hattip:

There's a guy on OfferUp selling a set of 5 black trail team FJ wheels if any one is interested, best deal on them I have seen.
