Just to make myself seem relevant... I actually asked about it back in the old days in post #809; but, it was ignored.

I remember when you originally asked, and I was hoping for an answer then, as I am now. You are relevant, indeed.............. Frank

Or maybe Mat missed it? 2810 answers the question, he said he doesn't adjust the self cleaning cycle. Stuff does get buried on here for sure..

No lie, I can't remember who's testing the 1.03 and got fed up trying to dig back thru all this fluff to find them. Hope to see some positive posts from them

Had fun playing in snow / ice this week and 4Hi feels like it got a nice boost with 1.03. Truck feels like it’s burning “cleaner” if that makes sense which is probably a result of the dialed in AFRs he’s had a chance to work through with his R&D rig. Torque learning still not ironed out completely which is why I’m providing logs he can leverage to keep dialing it in but it is better than 1.02c even before he’s put final touches on the shifting. MPG still too close to call but appears to be about the same, perhaps slightly better when I factor in winter blend. All in all a really big step forward.

Appreciate your report Brandon. Not to be too much of a bother, but are you feeling any stutters or hesitations under part load? I know Mat was working on that too..

Hello all , I have been following this from the beginning and have read about 60% of the thread.
It seems now the biggest want for the OVtune is to halt the learning after an install . From what I have been told about the Shift sense Prp is it is used in the S mode and while in the S mode the trans ECU learning is disabled . So, has anyone tried using the SSP and the OV tune together so as to have the added torque and HP and better shifting without the learning ? If this is correct , since the trans would never be driven in D it should keep the OVtune as it is when installed .

SSP simply changes gear for you, the truck is learning but because it isn't deciding on when to change gear it doesn't matter.

The learning really isn't as bad as it's made out to be, if everyone flashed back to stock when they think the learning has 'dumbed down the tune' they'd realize just how much better OVTune's changes are.

To be clear , you are saying the learning is not disabled while driving in the S mode ?

SSP uses S mode to change gears on the truck, the truck is still learning as it wants to but is being told to change by the SSP.

If this is the case, that would eliminate some of my concerns. Wonder if there's any truth to this?

I used the SSP with the v1.01 tune and once in a while with the v1.01B tune. I still have the SSP installed, but never feel the need to use it ever since I flashed v1.02C/A-91. Been meaning to take the SSP out and sell it, but been lazy. To me the tune shifts better than the SSP even with the learning. I’m loving 1.02C/A-91, but looking forward to trying out 1.03....sounds like it’s going to be even more awesome!! :D

There is conflicting info on this but they may both be correct . I do not know if there is a learning for the shift maps and a different learning for the throttle map or are they one and the same .

Best case scenario would seem to disable the learning altogether
