Question; I put a refundable deposit on a 2018 trd OR access cab v6 auto for 33,772.67 + taxes/fees in northern ca. Is that an ok deal? Will be paying w/ cash and it will have tow pkg but no tech pkg. Kinda burnt out with haggling sleazy dealers but don't want to get screwed too hard lol. Thanks.

Would any of you recommend this Costco Auto thing? I can't tell if it's the real deal, or if I could get a better deal just straight up haggling.

Costco price isn’t bad, I think around $2500 off but some members here have been able to get more off with negotiating. I would use Costco Pricing as a baseline and then use that price to haggle against other dealerships
I’ve used Costco pricing 4 out of the last 5 cars we bought because it was the better deal.

    Just put deposit on
Cement TRDOR DCSB 4x4 MT with tech
    36,250 srp....deal for 33,745 pretax
Considering this is incoming and finding a cement in MT was a bear, this was a more than reasonable deal for me. NorCal

That is about $150 below invoice. Ask for extras or a little more off.

California is treating these Cement color like they are very RARE... some dealers over there wont even budge less than 500 off MSRP... i have been in contact with most of the dealers in socal. I'm pretty sure it will change in a few months.
meanwhile in Denver, I got a quote for $1000 less than invoice, without even haggling.

Just a suggestion in SoCal - Try Costco, about a month back I went Costco-->Santa Margarita Toyota = $1,100 over invoice (excluding TRD Pro)

For a NorCal dealer, this is actually pretty decent. I got $200 under invoice for a hard to find truck.

I was quoted $650 under invoice for a white 4x4 DCSB OR with tech using a broker called Roadster, and they can only do business in Cali, since they are a broker. Their broker fee is $295. I didnt use them this time around because I had a specific truck in mind that the dealer did not want to trade. If you don't wanna deal with the dealers, it's well worth it. They even have the truck delivered to your home.

Of all the colors, Cement is the least available option on the lots, or incoming, save for the Cavalry. So if they have a customer like me, who realllllly wants a Cement, they have all the leverage. I contacted Longo, the biggest Toyota dealer in the world, on an in stock Cement OR, and they basically told me to go pound sand when I offered to pay invoice.

Right on. Been emailing dealers in a few different states and visiting some local ones but it seems the taco that I put the deposit on is the best deal. Just checked roadster and it only took approx $300 off of msrp for the trd or access cabs.

I'm just gonna ask for $ for my bday to make my wallet feel better  and eat a lot more ramen lol.

Just picked up a Cement DCLB off-road, with premium package, tech package, door sill protectors and wheel locks for a MSRP: $41,533 paid $38587.00 (before fees). This setup is very hard to find in my area and only a few were within 500 miles of me in this configuration, I had been waiting a few weeks for one to pop up that wasn't a sport. Had a local dealer promise me something close by Feb 2nd, but was more hopeful than anything. Found one this morning and after talking to them over email/phone drove down and grabbed it.

Yeah, congrats! Sounds like a nice deal, especially given what sounds like a rare combo. I was actually shocked at the deal my dealer gave me for my cement short bed. I secretly hope they discontinue the Cement for 2019 and beyond.

Yeah it would be nice to keep it rare! I was surprised they were dealing too, they knew what they had as far as scarcity, but seemed to want to make their customers happy to earn repeat business instead of making every penny possible...crazy world we are living in

Good choice! I have the same truck but added the TRD exhaust. I knew exactly what I wanted, 'ordered' it back in September and took delivery on December 19th. It's been draining my wallet ever since!

I'm thinking about adding the exhaust! I want to hear it first, so I gotta find someone with a pro around me. How do you like it?

I had to drive down to CT, and with my searches the other closest was PA and it didn't have a few things I would have wanted. It's a pain to buy them, but if you can find one it makes you feel like you won a contest of some sort!
