This is what I'm shooting for. I'm going for a mixture. It'll be minimal as far as some junk I dont need... flooring will be stained concrete, hookups for laundry stuff for when I sell, but I'll probably hang dry vs a dryer. Probably two bedroom based off this plan. But I'll be building it out so I'll probably do some cool stuff with custom plumbing for showers (while still being water efficient), tons of natural light so there will be little need for lights, wood on ceilings, big kitchen for cooking, pot filler for the stove, etc.

I would suggest at least one door wider than 3’ for ease of moving large items/furniture into the living portion of the building. Just my 2¢

Are you planning something that big too? Living area is just shy of 3,000 square feet in that plan.

Nope, 40x60 building. That one is bigger. I'll throw 2 bedrooms in there and plan to have 40x25 left for the garage.

There's a bunch of companies i think they all offer the same but haven't researched much. I just liked that website because you could design what you wanted and get an estimate vs putting your info in and waiting on a salty used car salesman to call and give you the run-around.

Just a couple of things, the living space will be bigger than either of my townhomes. Maybe your going with a single story Steel building but I have never seen less than 2 story so your wasting a ton of overhead space. Cold Climate, are you planning on only entry/ exit via the "garage"? Those other doors will directly bring in the freezing cold otherwise. Most places design an "air-lock" around a door in cold climates, you go through one door to get into a mudroom, then a 2nd door to get into house. Prevents that direct cold into living spaces.

Sometimes I don’t waste my time trying to shade tree fab up shit, although winch ones seem like overkill to me.
