    When the salesman mentioned the "skid plate" I looked under the truck and gave it a tap and just started laughing. He looked a little hurt when I said;
    "an angry shrub could take that cookie sheet out, Toyota should not call that a skid plate, call it a wind deflector or a grass guard".

    The Pro version is what I would call a light skid plate. Even it would get dinged up pretty good on a good trip, but would not cave in if you hit a fat squirrel like the OR or sport versions would LOL.

    Installed my Redline Tuning Toyota Tacoma Hood QuickLIFT PLUS System - Black e-coated Gas Struts with black powder-coated hardware today.
    I had to make a small mod to the K&N Blackhawk air box so I could close the hood though.

    What I did to my 3rd gen? Finally was able to install my Ultimate led turn signals,washed my truck, and got my build page almost all caught up to date!

    Mission accomplished. Got my Mobtown skids installed today. Those skids are real beef it helps to have someone operate the floor jack and hand over tools. I ran into one snag though, the transfer case skid crossmember is supposed to bolt behind the brake line bracket on the drivers side. I had a difficult time getting it to line up and get the bolt started. It seemed like the bolt was too short to go through the crossmember, brakeline bracket and grab any threads. I ended up using a longer leftover bolt from the frame brackets that were removed and put a nut inside the frame. I'm going to buy a grade 8 nut and bolt to replace it with. 20180120_152855_030.jpg
