I want tires for my sport. I’d like them to look aggressive, but be a quiet tire good for lots of freeway commuting miles. Live in Southern California and don’t off road much. Just want a better look than the street tires that come stock on sport.

I don’t want KO2s. Heard from a couple friends they are great at first. Then after 15-20k they become super loud.

pretty sure that's the case with "aggressive" treaded tires as they age past 20k or so. has anyone had an A/T that stayed quiet for its whole life?

btw I'm on ST Maxx 265/65-17, 23k on them, still about as quiet as when new. which isn't bad but i have no idea what's loud in your world.

You cannot resolve the contradiction in your title.
I use Cooper discoverer AT3. They are about as aggressive you can do tread wise and still be fairly quiet. When I get a set for this vehicle it will be my fourth set.

probably the best choice all around, and for a street tire they do have a bit of A/T appearance.

Cooper ATP's are just about the same as the AT3's just a little more aggressive looking.

actually those are the ones I was thinking of. i like those and considered them, but no 265/65-17, only 265/70, which I'm not gonna do.

I would throw the Falken Wildpeak ATW3 out there for consideration. They're fairly quiet on road, and perform pretty well off road.

St maxx was a relatively quiet tire for me as well. Great all around.
Of course my tires previous were km2s, so the st maxx felt like michelins compared to those

I was just going to say.

Those are highly rated in just about any condition but mud, so I've heard.

Loving my Toyo Open Country AT2's so far, a little more noise than the stock tires, but still pretty quiet :)

I would second that (LTX A/T2) I thought mine had outstanding snow, ice and rain traction. (Compared to similar type tires---not compared to dedicated snow winter tires). At 70,000 miles they measure at 6/32. 265/75R16 load range E on a Chevy half ton 4wd.

Only complaint is that they have some tread squirm when new. Reading reviews, some say they are squirrelly, I would say it just felt a little less precise initially.

You could go with street aggressive tires but on a 4x4 it would look weird.. I saw a tundra with some “car like” aggressive tires.. it didn’t look bad but is definitely not the intended use for this trucks...

The tread wear is borderline legendary... OP did type, that the bulk of miles are highway miles.

These will be quiet...They will help with mileage...

Actually, I have Mickey Thompson ATZ 2 s on my taco.

I like those too...They have the look, but they look like quiet tires.

I have about 3200 miles on a set of 35/12.5/18 Nitto Ridge Grapplers and they are very quiet for how aggressive they are. No louder than the lifted demo the dealer had with Open Country AT2s and slightly louder than the BFG KO2s I had on my F150. I've been very pleased with this tire. The wife doesn't complain about them being loud, and if ANYONE would complain...it'd be her.
