Sweet! I follow that thread. I’m lifted but I like seeing guys who are stocking using these tires as an option.

    This is a great thread.
Are you saying 255/80’s or 255/85 would fit on stock Tacoma OR?

I will be doing slight lift and new wheels. Trying to decide what order to do thjngs or just save up all the money and do it the same time.
    Thanks.

I went through that same problem. I saved up and ended up doing wheels, lift, then tires. Worked out cause I was able to sell my stock wheels and tires to recoup some of the money.

My 255 km2s absolutely suck in snow! But i have almost 50k mi on them and will probly run 1 more summer. That being said, they worked well for what i do, lots of hiway but offroad quite often. I tried to air down for sand drags and was down to about 12 psi before sidewall flexed at all. Load e is pretty stiff sidewall and heavy for a tacoma. I think ill need to balance again before summer but money for tires isnt high on list of needs quite yet.

3 inch lift with Toytec Boss and All Pro UCA's up front. AP expedition leafs with Bilstien 5100 shocks in the back. 255/85/16 Cooper S/T Max tires. All Pro skids, rear bumper and sliders, Hidden winch mount with XRC 8000 winch. Dual Optima batteries with IBS combiner/isolator and solar. CMC. Auto sliding rear window mod, hidden CB, CVJ axles and plenty of other little mods.
I'm with you on the tall and skinnies, but you left out a good tire choice. Interco Truxus. Mine are 255/85/16, weigh in at 53 lbs. Great all situation traction, tough as nails.

What kind of snow are you driving in? I've been driving mine in snow and ice the last two weeks and the only time theyve been sketchy was when I was playing. Granted mine have 30k less miles. They're certainly not snow tires but I've had way worse

235/85 r16 Interco Trxus MT. I go down to about 4psi in the snow on stock steelies. No lift. It's a tire that should be on the radar for anyone that can handle the short lifespan.

I don't have 255s I have a set of 285 cooper s/t's not the Maxx the older style. They are good tires. It would be easy to get 50k miles out of them if you keep them rotated. Mine have 60k but are wore out. Also the 255 s/t's are alot lighter than the s/t Maxx
When I replace mine I'll get s/t's again. The s/t also doesn't have sidebiters on the tread really either. Looks like a commercial traction tire.

You and that Allpro truck on 37s are the only two others I've ever seen run that tire.
