A lot of times they’ll stick the bushings in for easier packaging/shipping.

Lesson learned only took about an hour and a half start to finish to grease them, but woulda took less than a minute if I would have checked a few weeks ago when installed them lol

You have too much slack in all of those throttle cables. They should be firm, no visible slack. That will give you better throttle response, and the transmission won't hesitate before kicking down when you accelerate (which it probably hasn't been doing because that's the one that is disconnected).

I replaced my driver side interior door handle. Probably should have gone OEM, but I wanted to save 30$ and went with cheapo version from Taiwan. Yeah, the color doesn't match, but who cares. Armrest replacement coming soon(ish).
    20180120_171215.jpg

Also, does anyone know if you need to remove the entire door panel to remove these electronic window armrests? Or can I just unscrew and pop it out like the handle? Gonna try to tackle that tomorrow if it doesn't rain.

Optical illusion. Did have a minor freak out when I realized I had no power steering adjustor lock nut. See my post below.

Yeah they seemed pretty loose to me. Only had the truck for about a month and still catching up on maintenance. I'll go back and tighten them tomorrow, thanks.

Welp that was an interesting day. As I posted earlier, I found my alternator belt was breaking into two pieces:

    IMG_9956.jpg

Went to the dealership and bought new drive belts. Started pulling the PS belt and found out I had no adjustor lock nut, somehow got lucky and the bolt just stayed in place:

    IMG_4775.jpg

Ran back and forth to the hardware store until I found the right nut and got that secure, pulled the rest of the belts and tensioned them, let it run and checked tension. I don't have a belt tension gauge so I measured ~1/2" for the alternator and 1/4" for the PS and AC belts. I think I'll drive a little bit and then go to the parts store and rent a gauge if they have one. Torqued everything to spec and have Timmy the Toolman's great video to thank: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zi1XfFUOjKc

While I had everything out I figured, why the hell not, I'll replace brakes and rotors too. 5 hours later, here I am.

My only real mission to start the day was change the oil on my wife's Accord and chase my CEL code, but alas, this is how it goes sometimes.

You went from a smooth surface to drag across rocks to a surface with multiple ridges. It certainly will not help you any.

Haha fair enough. That's a lot of extra weight
