There is no TRD Sport short box Automatic in Canada. The Sport Automatic comes in long box only, where sunroof is part of the Upgrade package.

The TRD Sport short box comes in Manual only. I think it has sunroof

You cannot get a sunroof on a Canadian Off Road, which only comes in short box in 17 and 18

The Limited (long box in 16 and 17, short box in 18) has the sunroof I believe.

Not sure about Pro in Canada, as to whether it has sunroof

Thank you. This clarifies quite a bit actually. I was trying to find a Tacoma in manual with the long box and sunroof and couldn't find one. I settled by sacrificing the long box for a short and purchased the 2017 TRD sport with the upgrade package.

 

Those look like OEM Pro seats, how did you manage that?

 

I don’t get these car makers why do they make different vehicles and or offer different packages to other countries but not another or for that matter don’t sell the whole lineup i know that it’s got something to do with governments on emissions and safety requirements i get that! But what I don’t understand is why like in Canada u guys are saying they only offer certain models in dcsb or dclb and over the pond they get the hilux and no tacomas i get diversity wouldn’t it be better cost wise?

 

Tacoma sales in USA vs Canada. 2017 YTD October - USA =163,224 and Canada = 10,538. So USA has 94% of the volume. It's not hard to see why Canada has limited selection of models and options vs USA. If Canada only sells about 1,000 Tacomas a month, it probably makes sense in their view, to limit the models and options offered. Just easier to manage - sales, parts, etc.

 

This was the only real disappointment on my purchase. I love sunroofs...

 

You and I were in the same boat, I also wanted a long box w a manual. I absolutely needed a 6' box so I sacrificed the manual for an auto tranny.

 

Yes they are, you can get them from any Toyota dealership. I wanted a black Pro w a 6’ bed, manual tranny, moonroof & JBL. Toyota still doesn’t make it so I’m building my own. Got the Fox shocks, leather seats, skid plate, catback exhaust, rigid fog lights, shift knob & CAI. I decided on the Gen2 beadlock style wheels. Debating on whether to get the head/tail lights and scooped hood. It’s almost complete. The only thing I won’t have is the manual tranny. I need the 6’ bed to haul stuff.

 

Looks good, already installed black leather katzkin, but would have preferred these, I’m sure they were $ though

 

My DCLBOR has the sunroof that I use on cloudy days. Can't stand direct sunlight.
Shoulda been a vampire, I guess.

 

I have a 2016 TRDOR with a leaking moonroof.So I have some bad things to say about it,i'll keep it to myself for now.

 

I ordered the same truck (+ tow pkg) and waited just over 5mos! Worth the wait though.

 

Different. My self was Luke warm about me getting a tacoma, but when I rode in the one without a moon roof...I was sold.
