It's called taking pride in ownership. Taking care of your possessions so that they last longer than the bare minimum.

While I understand a few of your points, I think OP is struggling with the fact that he paid good money ($1600) and received an item that is unnecessarily flawed. In addition, its superficial blemishes can be indicative of its non-visual components' condition. If someone doesn't take care of their possessions in a superficial way, it's probably safe to say they don't maintain them as well in non-superficial ways... which ties back into my first point.

We don’t have a mall in Hermiston. This truck hasn’t been to one. :D

To be honest the most off-road this truck will see is all of the gravel and dirt farming roads that are all over the place in northeast oregon. On weekends, it’s fun to pick one I’ve never driven on and drive it to the end. I know that isn’t off-roading, but it sure is relaxing and fun for me.

So yeah I baby my truck, and I’m a bit OCD about this stuff. I’ll put em on and enjoy them nonetheless ;)

You’re driving a 35k+ truck, albeit it’s an AT (nobody’s perfect), you should drive it wherever you want bud. You’re likely still in the honeymoon phase but that will pass and you’ll be banging ditches with the rest of us.

And this sir...is how I know you’ve never pulled a set of front shocks off a Tacoma. That fairly beneign looking scratch is better than par for the course in the realm of removal.

And to be fair you don’t know jack (that’s about as kid-gloves as I can put it - I’ve been warned about this) as it pertains to how many times the truck was fucking jumped IMMEDIATELY upon rolling it off the lot before the shocks were pulled based on a surface scratch, bud.

    EDIT: cracks beer #1

Well, I'll know quite well this coming weekend how it goes, as I'm swapping my OR suspension for Pro. I'll be sure to post photos of my removed coils and shocks.

Besides that, I've wrenched plenty on my previous truck (2000 Jeep XJ). I've replaced shocks, and it's not rocket science. Taking the slightest bit of care would prevent the amount of damage on those coils. I've seen plenty of Pro coils without damage on this site, so either everyone on here is a God damn truck surgeon, or quite possibly it's you that has no clue what you're talking about.

You are correct though, you and I will never know how the truck was treated, but given the opportunity to gamble on it, I'll put my money on the scratch and dent free version being treated better every time.

Enjoy your beverage. Hopefully you're a jolly drunk, because sober you seems like a prick.

Anyone got stock 3rd gen fender flares for sale in the Seattle area? Color and/or off-road vs sport doesn’t matter. Thanks
