Aggressive and quiet do not go together.

Nitto Ridge Grapplers aren’t loud considering how aggressive they are.

Mastercraft Courser MXT's are super quiet for a mud tire. Your MPG's will suffer though. My best is 18.5 highway.

My Terra graps we're super quiet but I didn't run them for more than 15k because I sold the vehicle they were on.

I second this. My 12 Tacoma had them and I lucked out on my 18 Tacoma, had them installed from the factory. Quiet, long lived and good snow traction.

your buddies are wrong, the KO2s aren't loud. I'm on my second set and depending on the road surface they are quiet. If your driving on concrete a lot then most tires seem louder with all the expansion joints. On asphalt they are pretty quiet.
But the Toyo AT2 look like good tires if your looking at other stuff.

I have st maxx which is nice as other have said, but I would choose Falkens AT3W as they are way more quite, just not as aggressive as the max. Falkens are cheaper too

    Aggressive and quiet?

    Cooper ST MAXX.

Heavy though. Tough as nails. Good in summer and winter.

Here is my take. I was in a pinch for new tires on one of my 4Runners so I ended up getting the Firestone Destination AT’s in a “P” Rated tire. I was expecting the worse traction wise in snow and rain compared to my BFG’s. I was pleasantly surprised at these tires. Great handling in all conditions even did great in the trails for a P rated tire. They were quiet for an AT tire. I would have gone with a higher load range if I could have at the time. Just my .02

Ok I’ll bite... what’s wrong with aggressive and noisy? Isn’t that part of what aggression is all about? Get some good speakers and a pro exhaust and you can enjoy the grrrrrrrrrr. Frankly if you’re on the highway, who can tell what tires they are at speed so get a good set of all weathers like Michelin and they’ll still look ok in your driveway. Drive your friends loud KO2s and see if they really are that bad. Good luck with quiet aggression.

Anyone have the KO2s past 20k and think they are still quiet? Had planned to go in that direction, but would like to
keep the road noise down somewhat, while enjoying the aggressive look:thumbsup:

I am nearing 40K miles on mine and they aren't loud.

my favorite, hands down. but it seems that many who are picky about tire noise are also not often suited to running E's.

The K02's are hard to beat when it comes to performance and road noise in my opinion. This is my second set, before I had Toyo AT's and I wouldn't say they weren't better than the k02's plus the tread design looks so good! :)

I have Ko2's with 25,000 miles / 11/32-12/32 tread life. They're starting to get loud. I'm thinking about selling them next month to get a more aggressive tire. If I'm going to deal tire noise for the next 30-40k miles I'd rather have a better off road tire.

Look at the Yokohama Geolander A/T. I have had good luck with them for what you are asking.

I run E's. Don't really hear them. The rest of the truck makes more noise than the tires do.

I'm not referring to the noise here, rather the hard ride.
