Buddy of mine got his truck stolen out of his driveway last night. He lives in Southern Overland Park. Truck is a 05 TRD DC Sport 4x4 w/out the bed sticker. Grey and black leather seats, fairly new tires and wheels, TRD supercharger w/ modded exhaust. Probably long gone, but if you see it, call the police. Thanks[IMG]

Wow that sucks. Best of luck in getting the truck back unmolested.

I'm curious here -- did he leave the keys in the truck? I'm asking this because someone broke the vent window and got the steering column cover pulled off my '87 once in a mall parking lot in broad daylight at 11:00 AM before I came out and ran him off. I asked the cop why anyone would want to steal a 20-year-old truck with 220k miles versus all the new ones and he said "Cause they're the easiest to steal." Supposedly my new '06 can't be run very far without using the factory key -- is this true?

yep, lol, I just found out he left the keys in it. So that makes it pretty easy to a would be thief. Pretty hard to hot wire the new ones. Most new ones are stolen by tow truck.

That just sucks even worse knowing it was an open invitation to take his truck...
