Just curious, has anybody wrapped the Tacoma? Not in the way of for a business but just to change the color, if so what are your thoughts, happy you did it or not...

    Thanks in advance,

    Bill

I have a buddy that does wraps and i’m Considering it. He did his charger and I honestly didn’t know until I was closer and he was showing me. I think they come out really nice depending on the color you choose. I’ve seen some that people do matte finish and you have to wash them with certain chems and wipe them down or they look weird I guess.

I have a guy down the st from my work, this guy does awesome work, he tells me that the shine will last at least 4 solid yrs, I figured what the hell for 1200. It will look better than my fading scratched paint.

I am thinking a burnt orange or a deep electric blue.

I would wrap mine with a company advertisement if the company would send me a monthly check$$..... But seriously I have thought about wrapping the hood and the top of the cab to kill the glare.

$1,200 isn’t bad at all for 4 years. Can you wash it like normal too?

Yup, he said it is easier to keep clean, he says when he throws a coat of wax on it she really shines.

I have my front end wrapped in Xpel. Its a clear wrap that basically protects my paint. When it gets scratched, as long as it didn't go all the way thru, I just simply pour hot water and scratch disappear. Well anyway, with the film, I get it washed like normal as long as my detailer doesn't put clay to it or have a super high pressure washer.

Xpel stealth is awesome because it also makes your stock paint matte looking as well. I think a matte inferno would look awesome.

Boogie, it looks awesome! About how much did it run and what material was it? How do you take it off if you ever want to?

Not the color I would have chosen but it does look good.

The material costs aren't that high. I think the key is to be able to do the labor yourself. You could change the color every few years if you wanted to.

Thanks buddy! Avery Supreme vinyl wrap. Full out the door price was $2500 but the price will vary greatly depending on your location, vinyl used, design, etc. It peels off just like a sticker but I'd imagine it would take and hour or 2 to peel everything. That stuff is on there pretty good.

Yeah material to wrap a Tacoma would probably cost 300-500.
