Some dealers love selling new cars with lift kits and wheels already installed. These 2 trucks in Norcal had spacer lifts and Procomps and nfabs. Dealer asking a $10k premium. On top of a market adjustment for the cement of $2k.

Anyone ever buy these? Or know anyone that did? Curious to know how much of a premium they actually paid.

Wish we could get a long box OR in Canada.. sport or limited. Although they switched limited to short box for 2018..

He dealership in my town does this. They even put a decal on the bedside and call it the rTx edition. Strangely enough, they’ll do this to SR5s the most often.

The 3 dealerships in my area put on the 3”/2” Readylift on their Tacoma’s with tires / rim packages and other goodies but never saw any that high of a mark up. They are pretty reasonable and keeps you warranty in check.

Price sucks, but if they have it lifted at least the TSS should b calibrated if equipped which would b a nice addition without modification. Some people don’t recommend spacers, but u could always change those later if u really wanted to. Nice looking trucks though.

I would say it has to do with the lower price of the truck to start with. More room for profit. Could b wrong, but that’s my guess. I have seen this near where I live as well.

About 5 years ago I saw a Taco with 6 " lift and BroComa accessories from dealer going for $67, 000. Ill never forget it because I had recently bought my 2012 for about 36 000 and put 1000 into a mild 2.5" lift.

Theres a sucker born everyday. Dealers feed on them.

The funny thing is, the average person in my town thinks the rTx is a factory trim level above and beyond the Off-Road.

The only thing more stupid than the dealers doing it is the people buying them. It takes minutes of googling to know it’s a rip off even if you know nothing about trucks.
