A couple of weeks ago I took on the task to bed line my truck. At frist I used the spray on stuff and after I used the roll on stuff. Little did I know that it had some reaction to the spray stuff that it turn into what looks like tar. I must of not let the spray stuff not dry long enough but I really screwed the pooch on this one. Well anyway took me a couple of days to scrape off the crapy side I had done and started all over again but this time only spray on bedliner. Not perfect but much better than it originally looked. Oh did I mention that drop in bedliners suck? Well they do imo.

On my old Tacoma I did a roll-on bedliner but did my rails with the spray on and found the spray on to be much nicer. Maybe I'm just a bad painter.

Get some 6x6 to use under the Jacks. Works great. Only way I can even jack my truck up is with those on the jack stands and one on the jack.

    Story Time!!!!!!!

After I posted these pictures I started my way up a canyon that was supposed to take me home. Ended up having to chain up, and lock the rear winch still wasn’t enough. By the time I got turned around I was basically out of fuel and well over 80 miles from Home.

On my way out if the canyon I ran into a Jeep that was coming up behind me. But guess what, they ran out of fuel. So I loaded up the youngest and took him with me. While the rest waited for help that was on the way.
When I got down out of the canyon I was in I started getting phone service so I called for back up just in case I didn’t make it to a station.

With help on the way I started making my way back to the highway and somehow made it to a gas station at the same time my help met up with me.

I ended up putting 17.2 gallons of fuel in my tank.

At the end of the day every got down the mountain, including the Jeep.

This is a long story very condensed. Always bring extra fuel.

I realize this probably isn’t the place for this, but I hope you enjoyed my story.

I usually do have one, but I wasn’t really planning on going the I tried and I wasn’t expecting there to be as much snow as there was.

2 days ago the canyon I was in was bare. Now it’s basically impossible to get through. For my rig anyway.

It was definilty an eye opener, closest I’ve ever been to being stranded with no fuel.

Slack should not matter, May want to check the switch behind you clutch or brake peddle. If it is out of adjustment it want work. While your driving take your foot and pull up on your clutch or brake peddle and turn on the cruse control, if it comes on probably the switch. It happened to me. :notsure:

I pulled my corner lights to paint the trim recently and when I plugged them back in they do not work. If I tap the passenger one it will come on but the driver side will not. Any ideas? Should I replace the plugs, or corners? Thanks for any help in advance.

For those of you not up on your Tacoma lore, this is a rare 1995 1st gen single cab with the 3.4L 5vzfe V6 in it and a 5 speed manual. Only made for 2 years in this SX configuration. Truck has high miles but well cared for and drives great. Sucker moves with the bigger motor and weighing nothing!

    I now have a single cab..an extended cab..and a double cab tacoma...
