Thanks @beertimecontinuum and @MedlinAround! I’ve watched just about all of your all’s videos on YouTube haha. I can’t wait to get this w56 in my truck so I can actually drive it at reasonable highway speeds again to get to wheelin places. An a340/22re with 35s and only 4.88s DOES NOT like “traveling”

Sweetness. I enjoy throwing some video together every now and then. I'd say not at all. However, that's the best engine Toyota ever made though!

@dirty deeds my buddy brought me up 2 battery packs that they use out of our portable Xray equipment. Each have 3 separate batteries inside wired together in a container with a + and - feed out. Each one keeps a portable Xray unit charged for most of a day so i think my idea for camp power should be fine with my container off Amazon. Plus I have a back up one to carry around as well for longer trips! Using it to plug in camp lights, charging camera/phone equipment, and little odd and end things, i would think it'll hold up great for an entire weekend easily. May can even swing you one if you're interested in doing the same thing for a nice wiring/antenna job. I'd hate to see what the price tag on what one of these batteries run in the medical field!

I love my little sewing machine haha it just needs to be mated to the manual in my garage and then have 5.29s and it will be functional on any road more with more than 2 lanes haha

I have a coworker that has the same truck as you, I've tried to buy it for 4 years now to no avail. It was his Dad's and he won't ever get rid of it. It needs some work done to the frame and body, it kills me to see it rusting away!

I feel that guys attachment. My dad bought this used in 93 and started building it up to go off-roading. I have a ton of great memories in this truck with my dad. Luckily he basically parked it in his driveway and started it from time to time so the frame is pretty much mint. I have some rust spots here and there on the body from our states fabulous usage of salt and salt related accessories, but nothing major luckily.

I understand 100%. I'd love to have a first gen but at the moment if I was buying a 2nd vehicle/toy I would go with a TJ Wrangler. I owned one for a couple years and loved it. Something about driving to work with the top off just made the work day so much better.

A friend of mine has a pretty sweet mild TJ. I’ve never been much of a fan of jeep wranglers tho. I’d have an xj but I don’t know if I could bring myself to own a Jeep lol. I’ve been looking at some 3rd gens but I think with all the negatives I’ve heard if I was to have another car payment I’d go with a late 2nd gen or a 4runner.

I test drove a couple auto 3rds and was not a fan at all. I will say I didn't not know about the ECT button so that may help. I loved the 6MT 3rd gen but I'd like to get back into a auto so the wife can drive it if need be. I'm very very very content with my 2nd gen and will probably keep it around for a good long while.

I hear ya. I don’t know if I’ll ever buy one honestly. I’m pretty content having older vehicles and keeping the wife in something newer. I think we’re going to upgrade her to a 4Runner once her Camry is paid off then I’ll have her Camry as a daily, my 91 and if I keep it, the 2wd 87 yota sitting in the garage lol.

Thanks man! I’ve seen many of your all’s rigs on YouTube and wheelbase does seem to come into play from time to time on the DC tacos lol

One would think... She doesn't have any inclination to learn to, doesn't understand why anyone would want to shift the gears when they make a transmission that does it for you and doesn't understand the relation of gears/speed/rpms. I tried to teach her in my '08 RC and she did ok taking off and shifting up into 5th but was completely lost when it came to shifting down, picking a gear when having to slow down or how to take off on an incline. She got annoyed and refuses to try again.
