My buddy with the ceramic ring works at the same shop as me (machine shop) if/when I get married I'll probably do titanium, ceramic, or maybe even an inconel one. I don't worry about it messing up my finger on its own, it would be if I cut myself and needed it cut off or something, or wearing it at work sincr i would for sure get small chips/slivers behind it. My fingers look like they are covered in ground pepper enough as it is lol

 

I looked at a few different brands. I settled on Qalo because they have the q2x which is supposedly chemical resistant and more durable.

I’m worried about degloving because I still play sports, ride bikes, fix shit and work on the house. I can see me being stupid, sticking my hand somewhere it shouldn’t be and getting the ring stuck.

 

Makes sense, I work on stuff and use my hands enough that wearing a wedding band besides outside of work and not doing stuff would probably be the only time I would wear it. Which would be pretty rarely

Morning all, happy 1st Monday. There's a bunch of devoted guys here with the ring discussion. My ring has been in the safe for a healthy 15 years now. I stopped wearing it when I was more actively working on hand altering equipment and now it doesn't fit.

 

For whatever it’s worth, I’m left handed..

The injury was caused by screwing on a cap very tightly and taking it off 100’s of times a day with my weaker right hand. I usually open jars and stuff with my left.

 

Morning all ... ..my ring has been off for the last 25yrs...I would just deform the ring constantly...

Superbowl bound again! Ugly game, though. Hopefully Gronk is fighting fit again for the big game

 

Like you say it will be tricky with brew, but there are sodas and liquor's already produced out west. In college up in VT we used to soak our stuff in bottles of vodka for a few weeks then drink it. I wonder if some of the higher percentage IPA's or malt brews might be able to absorb it better if added after it was brewed? Or, you could alternatively mix in a THC tincture with the beer, or extract it using the techniques to make wax/shatter/hash and then take the pure thc oils into the brew. Not sure how they would mix together or if you would be left with a glob of thc oil somewhere in the beer.

 

Mine has been off since we got back from the honeymoon. I work with live electricity and machinery that will kill you on any given day

 

My boyfriend has said he'd do a tattoo because of work. Can't risk getting it caught on stuff

 

This morning sucked, had to go see Doc Jellyfinger for annual physical. Hope he doesn't look at the blood sample to close, after yesterday

 

That's funny, I'd probably be killed on any given day if my wife caught me with mine off.

 

... so everything looks good, but let's talk about your drinking. How's life going? Any particular stresses you're dealing with?.....

 

All this talk about wedding bands... I have to chime in.

I wear mine sometimes... most of the time I don't because I forget to put it on in the morning, after getting ready for work. I don't sleep with it on my finger. Take it off every night. It's all scratched up as it is.

The inside looks like it's pcs that interlock, but it's not. It's a single solid ring. A friend of mine worked at the jewelry store I bought it from, and he actually was the one who designed it. Not specifically for me, for the store to sell.

 

See I read a scratched up ring as the foundation of solid relationship - a sign of the struggles triumphed. Imagine a 50th anniversary & his wedding band looks like brand new - just not right. (Of course I come from a line of the wedding band lives in the dresser drawer peoples.)
