Ok, so today I replaced both lca’s, both sway bar links, and put new brake pads on. While doing all of this discovered new uca’s are in my near future. it Is now sitting at Firestone waiting on an alignment.

Painted my po-boy "Satoshi" grille, installed some LED turn signals markers and fogs, put a bug deflector I got from a junk yard truck on, probably going to take it off, I don't feel like it adds anything other than noise but meh it was cheap. Unseen, I replaced a lot of those plastic pop clips that are always breaking with nut-certs and stainless hardware.
    IMG_20180121_131656.jpg

Relocated my TRD/OR bed outlet above the stock location and installed another cubby box for more storage space. Also had to relocate my rear power center from my old mini cubby to the full size.
    IMG_20180121_131457.jpg IMG_20180121_120257.jpg

My arms and shoulders are full of fibreglass from cutting and drilling the bed.

    :bananadead:

Strestched my seatbelt out, soaked it in Folex and APC then hit it with the turbo nozzle on my pressure washer. The previous owner (and myself:anonymous:) must have ate in the truck and got some bleck on the belt. It was gummy discoloured, and didn't like to retract.

    Looks like new now.

What size light bar do you have in your scoop? I've thought about putting one in mine.

I debadged my 2010 about six months ago, I had minimal ghosting that was mostly due to dust dirt and wax that collects in the nooks and crannies of the badge letters and never really gets cleaned out.

To fix it I cut and polished the areas with a dual action and some meguiars mirror glaze.

    Haven't had any issues since.

    Good luck!

It's a 10" single row. Bought the mount from C4 Fabrication.

Just some really tough residue. No ghosting. The paint is very consistent. I did follow up with some rubbing coumpound.

 There's no fiberglass in the bed. It's a composite material.

Composite is defined as a material made of different parts, our beds are FRP, or Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic. They most definitely have fiberglass in them but they are not typical solid fiberglass.

Cut or drill into your bed, especially with a hole saw or other aggressive toothed blade and you will see there are glass fibres in the plastic.

The bed itself is top bonded with a slick plastic to prevent the flaking or stranding bare fibreglass is known for when stressed or abraded and to keep glass fibres from getting embedded in the load (or yourself if you're laying in it.) but once you break through the 1/16" top coat you expose the fiberglass.

I first discovered fibers in the bed when I had to haul my motorcycle on its side rather than standing and the peg made a tiny chip in the top coating.

The actual make up of the composite is a closely guarded secret of Toyota's I'm sure but I, and my skin, can attest there is most certainly glass fiber reinforcement in the tray.

Why would there be no Fiberglass in a Truck Bed made of Composite Material?
