alex from blackboxmycar said they will still be doing a refundable deposit. i asked if he could just take an additional 20 off instead of having a deposit that must be refunded but he said their system wont allow that 10% off plus an additional $20 off. so as far as i know anyone doing the blackvue/thinkware group buy will still have to buy the down payment, once everyone does that, we get the coupon code, everyone orders and gets their $20 downpayment refunded.

maybe he can be talked into adding a plug in like street guardian is doing to do it mass drop style but direct, with no middle man.

Living in Arizona I need a camera that can withstand the heat. I have been interested in getting dashcam for awhile now. Put me down for the Street Guardian SGGCX2 when we hit the 11+

I’m interested! Want one but so many options. Which is the best bang for your buck?

I think the dr590-2ch is the best bang for your buck. it lacks wifi and gps but those are not in my opinion mandatory features. since it has no wifi you will have to change the camera settings in your pc/mac with a micro sd card usb adapter (comes with one) and to also copy/save files. but its much cheaper than the 750s model which uses the same image sensor. the 750s has 60fps up front but again its a lot more costly. the 750s also has cloud features but its hard for most people to make use of it because you need a hotspot in your car, and to get parking notifications the hotspot must be on even when youre truck is off.

you would be 11. i am going to send out a private message (might have to be several because there is a limit) to make sure everyone I have is still listed. the group buy ordering system should be up soon as street guardian was telling me last night they were working on a plug in to allow group orders.

If the only difference really is WiFi and gps, I think I’ll end up with a dr590-2ch instead of the 750. I wouldn’t be taking advantage of all the 750 can do

So do we need 16 for 10% discount for blackvue at blackboxmycar? I may go for 2 dashcams, would that count as 2 entires (I hope so).

I am trying to find out, i asked the owner of blackboxmycar and he never answered. He emailed me today asking one of his employees to contact me to continue because they are apparently in the process of moving offices or remodeling or something so he has been very busy.

I'd be interested in that as well in the future. But I'm interested in the SG9663DC for this.

Do it. That would put us at the 16 mark for the full discount. :D

If you're leaving towards either blackvue or thinkware you would be 16 but I'd have to confirm with everyone they are still committed.

So I got calcification about the requirements for ordering from blackboxmycar. They are still ok with the dr590-2ch being included but since they are opening this discount up to anything, there is a $250 minimum order. So the dr590 would only count if you add the power magic pro and bigger memory card and or GPS dongle. What this also means tho is you can order ANY cam and as long as it's at least $250 it counts towards the group buy. The 10% off is also off their "sale price" not that MSRP they always shown with a line crossed thru it.

I hope this doesn't negativity affect anyone looking at the dr590. Alex the owner originally said the dr590 is fine but I got passed to one of his assistants who clarified there is a $250 minimum.

Read what I said in my above post since you are considering the dr590. They clarified the 590 is fine and actually they are ok with people ordering ANY cam but the minimum order is $250. So for the dr590 you'd have to throw in a few accessories. The power magic pro alone is a must I think tho so you can use parking mode.

Currently no deadline, we will probably just order once we get enough people committed.

I'm gonna update the original post about blackboxmycar being open to ANY cams on their site with the $250 minimum order later. Just hard on my phone and away from my office all day.

looks like not that great of a deal. if you get the f800 pro with 128gb card and blackboxmycar hardwiring kit its $509. that v-day special is $559 the same thing plus for some add-a-fuses, a plastic pry tool, and sticker. oh and a spare 8gb memory card for some reason. 6 months extra warranty too i guess but I assume that is retailer warranty not extra manufacturers warranty.
