Crazy night in Houston... I didn't catch all of it because my TV was acting all fucked up and cutting out. But I got most of it. Tough luck for Musquin, he didn't look very good in his heat and then the tough get off, but Roczen was looking good! I'm super stoked to see Barcia up there too. Pretty exciting racing coming out of the 250s too with Plessinger taking the points lead.

Barcia the highlight again, for me. Looking really solid. Sucks 2 of the main title contenders are out though. But good on KRoc and Anderson for getting it done.

Barcia is riding with some determination. Still can't believe he is a fill in.

I expect him to retain the ride for the full year, if he is even half way consistent. Especially with Webb struggling badly.

For starters as a ny'er, I can't stand the 10pm starts.... I fell asleep during the first 250 race, so no idea what happened, and I will be avoiding Instagram today till I watch tonight.

But from the little I daw, I am not a fan of the triple crown format. Ok with it for the cup as it's a weird event but not for a real points paying race.

It was interesting last night with the triple crown. I just don't understand why they are messing with things that work. First the timed races, then the starting block metal pad, now the triple crown. Are they hurting for viewers? They mentioned that they had the qualifying earlier in the day for the triple crown. I would have liked to see that.

After they removed that idiotic 5 heats to fill a main format they decided they needed something just as dumb to offset it...

I was thoroughly confused when I saw the title "Main #1" above the leaderboard when the race started. Had to do some research.

Hats off to Jason Anderson. I thought he was the class of the field, other then the race one mishap at the start.

In other new, if Tomac gets on a run, watch out. He showed just how dominate he can be last year.

And were is the kids (Seeley, Baggatt, Peick and Brayton) cone from? Those 4 have really picked up the pace from last year.

    Liked the"Triple Crown" format, personally.

Glad to see Peick running well so far this year. I was just asking a coworker the other day if he got a factory ride or something somehow... If he's could sneak a championship in under the radar I'd be ecstatic

If they are going to do a few races with this format, they need to revise how the track is designed. You can't have 2 of the 3 mains being so short on a track that is totally 1-lined and very hard to pass on. That just makes no sense.

I agree with this. Make it be a fast track with a lot of different line choices and passing areas.

I've always wanted to design a Supercross track. With my back ground in BMX and riding all things motocross in SoCal I would
design a crowd pleasing track. Big jumps with multiple lines. :bikewhoops:

This past weekend is a perfect example of what makes a good track. Large floor to start with, fast sections, rhythm sections with multiple combos, good turns and plenty of places to pass. They should do that more often.

Awesome. How was it, in person? You have fun? 1 of the better SX tracks, from TV. I like that venue usually.

This year is a bit disappointing to me. Every week someone had a horrible week so we don't have a clear favorite. Tomac is the fastest, and best but not racing all rounds will kill you. The Muscan had the chance to take advantage and flounders. I give Roxen a pass this season as his injuries were serious and recovery takes time. Anderson is consistent, but not not the best. I give him best chance to win just cause he doesn't seem to F up like the others (hopefully he doesn't get suspended again this year for a race).
I'm getting joy out of the fill ins Barcia and Stewart doing well. I hope they can keep there rides.

How does that make it a disappointing year? If anything it makes it an exciting year because there is no clear favorite and they all have to be on top of their game if they want the title. I can't stand it when there is a runaway favorite. Makes for boring racing. Like Tucker Hibert in snowcross.
