    Hahaha

I drive 40k+ miles a year so I keep them for 5 or 6 years and then they have 250k on them and are for the most part worthless. Resale is not really a factor for me.

Oh OK that makes more sense to me. I'd still look into it as I don't think it would affect me in anything I would do with it. Most campers don't have a tongue weight of more than 650LBS
They will most likely have to F-it up to start getting in line with the newer regulations

The problem I have is there's stuff I want that I can't get on a Tundra like the payload, Android auto, locker, etc. Even a sunroof I'd like, but I can't get it on a double cab. A crewmax would be ridiculous for me since I don't have kids. I'd rather have the 6-1/2 ft bed.

I hear ya. It was eye opening to me when I did the math with my current truck. Even with my little camper, I'm right about maxed out if I look at payload alone. I added up the weight of me, my wife, 2 kids, dog, minor stuff I throw in the bed, the cap and the tongue weight of the trailer and it all adds up pretty quick. My little trailer has a 650 lb tongue weight though, the single axle makes it tongue heavy.

To be fair, when you start looking at adding the heavy payload package, for instance, on the Ford, there are all sorts of other options you either have to add with it or can't get with that 'package'. It's very frustrating. They're also like a damn unicorn to find unless you order one.

You only spent $400 on your wife's engagement ring?
Wow that's a lot of driving! Hope it lasts!

A slew of pricey stuff my wife hates me for.
Pugga- not sure, wife got it for me. I’ve had it covered in oil and other forms of contamination, it didn’t break down or get funky.

Actually, I had a dealer look at my 2013 F150 for a trade in and they were trying to give me about $14k for it. It's a 2013 F150 Supercrew 4x4 XLT. That's just their trade in offer, I would expect to see it on their lot with a $20k sticker price. We'll see how fast it depreciates now that it's over that magical 100k mile mark.

When I traded my 2007 Tacoma in 2014 with 100k miles on it, I got $17k for it. It's all sort of funny money though. I never look at the trade number, more concerned with the differential but the Tacoma did hold it's value well.

1st web page I looked at

    https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/l-Used-2010-Chevrolet-Silverado-1500-c21985

Who would pay 10K-12K for a 2001 2WD Tacoma? IDK but they are selling some for that

Doesn't even have a license plate yet!
I was very near purchasing a Tundra... Then I broke down and realized that I wouldn't be able to keep my standard transmission. That was really a dealbreaker for me. If it weren't, I'd probably be in a Tundra with the 4.6 because I really have no need for the 5.7, unless I'd only be able to get a double cab with the 5.7, in which case I'd need it.

I'm happy with my Tacoma, and I'm loading it up with lights and antennas so I can tailor it to my wants and needs. The extra cash I would've spent on a '13 Tundra, I think, would've negated that budget pretty quickly...

Some of them last. Some of them don't. All company's are the same way though
