Normal 3rd gen stuff. Bad diff replacement under warranty, speedo randomly resetting, radio reboots when raining. I have had to chase down and fix rattles from day one. Sound deadener the whole truck did help. Not to mention 5&6 gear are nearly unusable on the highway with 33's even regeared to 4.88. When I was down in texas it felt better though. My BSM went out 3 times under warranty, although once was probably my fault.

Normal characteristic of the vehicle. Whiner. It's like you expected a half ass decent vehicle for almost $40k!

I doubt it. I've read through the 2nd gen forums and they sound like garbage as well.

Yep, I had a fair amount of issues on my second gen, they are not perfect by a long shot. 2016 was the worst for the 3rd Gens, 2017+ seem to be better.

Maybe if I had bought a 1st gen it would've been a different story.

From what I can tell, I would much, much rather have the 4.0L and the 5 speed than the 3.5 and 6. Both deal with similar vibration problems. But even then, there's some other 3rd gen specific issue, like the diff you mentioned, that are not applicable to 2nd gens.

I think they're better built and better off-road, but it's a serious trade off in creature comforts and size.

Yeah I figured. Mostly meant reliability-wise.
