Ok, what is wrong with me.. I keep wanting a Jeep Wrangler...

Hmmmm Dark Green with black interior or White with Tan.. 2000 and up 6 cylinder 5 speed. hard and soft top please. 1/2 doors and a bikini top.

Why... what is wrong with me.. They are quite impractical compared to my Tacoma and the get worse gas mileage. Not exactly a cushy ride either...

and yet.. I want one.. really really bad..

A sahara would do just fine.... or perhaps a sport.. if I got lucky a Rubicon...'

BUT...

They cost so damn much.. way more than my 97 Tacoma did..

I never liked my 2001 jeep wrangler sport. It always felt like it was going to roll. Wheelbase was too short.

 

Blasphemy! Lol cmon now don't be unfaithful to your tacoma like that. Looking at that dirty dirty jeep like that. Bet ya even have some secret pics on your computer. tisk tisk. You should be ashamed lol jk

 

Because it is easy to take the doors and top off!! Solid axles and easy to work( they do that just because you have to work on them every weekend!!)


Don't get me wrong. I miss that jeep. But I love taco!!

NOthing wrong with wanting a Wrangler..

I was debating between a Wrangler JK and a Tacoma.. I ended up with the Tacoma due to the extra capability of the truck bed and the fact that all 1st gens costs much less than JKs.. Still would be nice to have both.

I rented a 4 door Wrangler while in SF and took it up thru Yosemite and up some trails in the White Mountains.. It was a blast to drive. Most fun vehicle I've ever driven, more so than my Tacoma I must say.

The downside though is that I really don't see myself fitting in with the typical "jeep" demographic. Perhaps i have a skewed version of that Jeep crowd in that it's a bit hillbilly-ish for me.

 

you'll hate it after a while...I'm trying to sell my Cherokee. Hate it, that is, unless you like to wrench a lot and plan on crawling in ways the Tacoma cannot due to departure angles. I found myself spending so little time on the trail that I couldn't justify keeping it. In regards to Wranglers, top down/doors off is often accompanied by dousche behind the wheel...don't be a dousche

 

Looking at those pictures from Jeep Jamborees, I really can't stand those ppl.. is that really an accurate portrayal of typical jeep enthusiasts? I can't see myself amongst that group..

 

I bet I can find pictures like that about taco just as much as jeeps. I run into D-bags in taco that don't know how to drive all the time.

 

Oh and give me a stock rubicon and I will run circle around my stock taco on the trail

Because they're capable out of the factory, have THE most aftermarket support of any vehicle, and inexpensive.

All this "I bought a Toyota for the trails because its 10841048x more reliable than a Jeep" is bullshit talk IMO.

If you wheel your rig, it will break. No matter which production line it came off of.
