    1. With the truck on select trip A.
    2. Shut off the engine
    3. Press and hold the trip/odo button and turn of the to ignition.

The odometer should show lines and count down to zero then flash.

That's it. The light will begin to flash at startup in about 4500 miles after reset and will remain lit after startup once you get to 5k miles

Yep, if this hasn't been answered yet, and if it has I apologize - put your ODO on to where it reads your truck's mileage, not trip A or trip B, then hold the ODO button down and turn your key on to "acc," but not on all the way. Dashes will appear, each dash represents 1k miles. As the dashes dispensary, let go of the ODO button after the dash which represents the next interval you want your service light to come on. So, if you want your service light on again in 3k miles, let 3 dashes disappear, then let go.

Sorry, I see that @Plain Jane Taco already answered. There is a difference in years as to whether or not it needs to be on ODO or Trip A. Can't remember the cut off though!

You might have better results just painting yours.

I don't need new brakes for a while, plus these reduce brake dust...

What I'm worried about is that if I paint the calipers, it will wear off over time...

High temp or caliper paint should last for years with proper prep. Save you 190 bucks

    What's the prep, exactly?

My plan is to have it done next time I need new brakes.

I was typing that at 4:00 this morning. Looks like a typo in step 3.

Should read...with engine off hold down on the trip button and turn ignition on

Don't take your finger off the button until it’s done
