    I got mine because I ran the High Water Mark trail in Arkansas and had some close calls and eventually had to turn around because one river was likely too deep and no way around without going too far out of the way.
    The next summer I went back, 1 week after installing my snorkel. I sunk my whole hood up to the windshield underwater in a mudhole and got stuck for about 10 seconds, before backing out as far as I am in my sig picture.
    Love 'em or hate 'em, my snorkel saved my truck. They have a use.

    Do not cover the compressor it puts out too much heat and needs to be kept cool as possible. I mounted mine in that location where the abs pump is at. No problems with the snorkel being in the way.

    This. Water and vehicles don’t mix. Don’t hit water fast and 98% of water ingestion will be avoided. If you really are running water deep enough for a snorkel, your alternator among other electrical accessories is toast.

    Nah, I'm gonna put a snorkel on either side with a ball in the duct so if I flop on the passenger side it breathes through the driver snorkel and vice versa.
