Yeah, I have found a few affordable suppressors for 5.56 and some other platforms. It seems cool, but you have to factor in the federal Form 4 fee which is another $200. Unless you are using sub-sonic ammunition, you are still going to have a very loud bang with a 5.56 round. I believe most of these cheaper ones reduce the noise from like 165db to 130db. That is still very loud. I deemed it not worthy of the money, even if it is $200. I was told that if I want to play around with suppressors, to start with a .22

I wonder if it’ll be any different in accuracy then the high dollar suppressors or if it is just meant for AR And AK style shooting?

Again, this is a photo after I just slapped them on right out of the box. I have since placed them back a little in the proper places. Next addition is an extended bolt release to the trigger guard and an extended ambidextrous charging handle and she will be finished.

Not sure, really surprised at the cost though. If you get what you pay for, then well this isnt going to be worth the $200 fee and a 9 month wait.

Since the mark up is so damn aggressive on them, it’s quite possible that somebody else has finally decided to put a realistic price on them. I have always questioned the out-of-control price on them, being a machinist and knowing what it really cost in time and material to make these things. I’m curious to see testing on this in a bolt gun like a 308 or 6.5 Creedmoor

Good point, lets hope you're correct. I always thought the cost of them was insane myself.

Haha I know. I totally didn' want to be that guy but it's a lot of fun.

That's all I am doing to it. It's not bad. The weight is fine. The bipod is on an as needed basis, it's on a quick detach.

You should see my buddy's AR. It is loaded with junk.

You put the afg and a magwell grip...if you're grabbing both, how do you pull the trigger?

Well, I don't grab both. The AFG is for quick comfortable offhand shooting and the Magwell grip is good for tight quarters, even ergonomics and stability for longer distance shots, it also gives the mag a slide in guide. It isn't heavy, wasn't expensive, and looks nice.

I would reverse the flip on that magnifier. It blocks a lot of your peripheral view when using the dot.

I have mine mounted the same way so I can flip it with my left hand without taking my fire control hand off the grip and trigger :duel:I fully understand your point. I might swap it around next time out just to compare.
