How are the auto transmissions in the first gen tacos and 3rd gen 4runners? Been looking for a manual transmission 4Runner but I can't find a clean one

I don't know this for sure because I haven't driven one myself but my friend has a 95 4runner with the 3.0L V6, and he says it is slow and gutless. I know our trucks aren't exactly meant to be fast but I imagine an auto would just make it that much worse.

On the way home I decided to take a chance and switch out my flasher relay. I’ve had hyper blinker for a while and should of changed my relay a long time ago. I picked up EP35 and threw it in. Not only did it fix my hyper blinker but it fixed my blinker period. My reverse lights no longer blink, now just my blinker.

Now if this relay fixed my engine issue I get when I turn on my left blinker. I don’t know. I’ll test it out tomorrow on the way to work. I also found a hole in one of my vacuum lines. The small one that ties into the air box. Who knows if that caused the engine problem.

I still have the same brake light problem. Driver brake light on while running light on but goes out when I press the brake. Passenger brake light off while running light on but brake light comes on when I press the brake. New tail lights should be on thier way soon.

why not simply admit they are not natives of Colorado? In my 62 yrs young of living in this State since birth I can say without reservation only those born here are Natives!

Very squishy feeling while shifting but last about forever. As with anything, if the previous owner didn't do proper maintenance it could be a ticking time bomb.

I still have my 01 4Runner 3.4 and it’s an auto. It’s not the fastest rig on the road, but it will get up and go if you want it to. It has the ECT button that I rarely use, but it seems to help. The truck now has about 310,000 miles on the original motor and trans so I’m sure it’s lost a step over the years, but it’ll still do 85 mph smooth as silk.

    Edit: what @thefatkid said.
