    I don’t think it’s a compulsion really, and the explanation is simple....money.

I paid $82.24 with no tax and free shipping for the Denso radiator.

I have Napa, Autozone, Advance Auto Parts and O’Reillys near me. A price check of radiators for my truck at those locations ran anywhere between $112.49 - $151.99, before North Carolina tacks on 7% sales tax.

The exact radiator I bought online was $135.89 at Napa. The radiators anywhere close to the online price were like Billy-Bobs Coolant De-Hotter Thingy brand. At least I know Denso is quality.

So for what I would have paid locally I also bought a gallon of Toyota Red Coolant from the dealer and a radiator cap from Gunny with enough left over for a sixer to help keep me smiling while I take this thing apart.

To be clear though, if this was a daily driver I would’ve bit the bullet and went to the local parts store.

No compulsion, w/ Amazon returns no questions asked, most places online tax free and free shipping or just no tax. Sometimes the better deals are local, most times its a part thats really needed and the local parts or dealership has it. Rape or not to rape, that is the question.

Penny pinching helps to save for the next big thing.

I sold parts to buy parts, it worked out and so far (out of pocket) I only paid 300 bucks for most of the 4x4 parts. Penny pinching, not bawlin out of control but still try to make sure nothing leaks on me

So I bought some LEDs for the dome lights because I’m in the process of changing all the cluster lights and thought “why not?” I ordered the right size from Super Bright LEDs and I couldn’t get them to work at all. Thought maybe I blew the fuse but the old light worked when I put it in. Ordered some cheap ones in the same size from Amazon and I get a soft flicker and then that’s it. Like the lights not making the appropriate amount of contact. Anyone know if it’s just me being dumb or if there’s a way to make a better connection?

Most LED's (if not all) must be installed in a particular direction. Try flipping it around (reversing polarity)

Replaced the driver side armrest. The color doesn't match (just like the door handle), but it is more comfortable than what was there. No more snagging my jacket!

    Nice!

Looks come second to practicality for me so while it's probably an eye sore, at least you have a fully functioning door!

    Good job man!

Nice. Did you stay at the Geologist's Cabin? Saw a few TW folks in there recently. Of course, forgot to write them down anywhere, and now I'm too old to remember...:frusty:
Yeah. Tell me about it. What you see there isn't even from DV, it's from a short 3-mile detour we took on the way down, when Google said, "Take FS-41 to over the pass to Burns." Turns out, not so much in the middle of winter. Hahahaha! DV itself was mostly dry, at least during the day.

It was a blast. Wish we had a ton more time to explore everything more slowly, and to check out several more places. Oh well, that means there will definitely be return trips! Thanks for inspiring it this time! (and I want to know next time you head out :p...even though I couldn't have made New Years.)

I had to put a resistor on mine to get it to work. Map lights work fine but dome wouldn’t. Got all my leds from superbrightled.com also
