Anyone seen a mod on this theme? I'd like to make a wind deflector to attach to my stock roof rack.

Why not just put the bars away? I'm not sure if it would look nice because of the low angle.

That looks like an interesting mod. I would use a piece of black plastic ABS from TAP plastics. You can attch it permantly with plastic rivets but that would leave holes in the roof bracket. The mounting options are limited but it can be done. Subscribed to this thread...

    That'll look great.

I'd like to see clear abs with lights behind :)

I'm being a little anal, but I like the look of the bars in cross position better, but the noise/drag is too much.

This is what I was thinkin, but wanted to see if it's been done already before I make an attempt. I need to look at the Yakima/Thule version and see if they seal up the front lower surface or just leave it open. If so, then it's pretty easy. Just fasten new deflector to front of roof rack sides. I would use self-taping screws with a little seal under washer.

Just be sure the leading edge doesnt touch the roof paint or the movement under speed will certainly wear through the paint.

hmmmmm. Seems that it sits pretty steep. My thoughts were something more curved, but thanks for pic. Any more pics? Truck looks good. What fogs are those? Where did you get?
