I considered that one and even have the step by step directions printed out to install it, but didn't know it it was worth the hassle for as few highway miles as I put on it.

IDK. The only recall that comes up when I throw my VIN in is the frame rust.

I got mine done under the recall, and the needle bearing, the floor mats issue, and next is the frame rust...

Same here in the parking lot at work. Didn't notice the thin sheet of ice at all in the truck, but when I stepped out I almost lost it.

Yeah, but if you're on the highway doing 65 in top gear and you go down a hill, the truck shutting off the throttle will cause you to slow down.

Been considering getting a GX470. Love my FJ but with the wife traveling so much for her job getting the giblets in/ out is a pain. Also V8 + more space + leather.

On the other hand the FJ is just much cooler.

Foggy in northern RI. Worcester is covered in ice and raining on top of that. My Coopers seem to do ok on ice.

Also foggy commute was foggy. And doesn't help I'm tired as hell as the has been away since Saturday morning and won't be back until Thursday, at which point to turns back around and heads to Germany for a week, then comes back and days later off to Cali for 4 days:pccoffee:

That's very true! Most of my "braking" doesn't involve the brake pedal. I just let me heavy ass tires slow me down.

    Damn! You doing alright?

My dad has a GX460 that is a few years old and he absolutely loves it. Full time 4x4, comfy as hell, and leather heated+cooled seats.

Only downside is in comfort mode the thing drives like a boat. Plus it doesn't get much better mileage than my truck. But that's about the worst I could say about it.

Yeah my commute was foggy as hell, but light enough that my fog lights didn't do anything. I would have enjoyed the excuse to turn them on though...

    HA!
So I bought that truck cap back before Christmas because the GF and I were planning a road trip out to Utah and were planning on driving. We figured if we drove we could sleep in the back of the truck and save on hotels, save on the rental car, and not buy plane tickets.
Today she says that she doesn't really want to drive, because it's 40 hours each way (which she knew) so she'd rather fly. Which means that I spent $1200 on the cap, and now we'll be spending $$ on a rental car, plane tickets, and hotel rooms anyway.

    Women.

little sore and a little stiff still. Went to the chiropractor and they think I might have just compressed some stuff, going back today to see if they can begin straightening everything out. Stepped out and landed right on my ass

I suppose. Wasn't too high on my list or priorities before, though, to be honest

But, I can still build the camping platform at some point this spring. We can still use it on the weekends this summer; just hitch the boat up and go, and when we get to wherever we're going our 'tent' will be all set up as soon as we pull in and park.

Just ordered a pair of spare wheel bearing hub assemblies since I used up my spares already. I looked into pressing them out of the old units and swapping them over and it was too much work having to either pay someone or buy the bearing splitter etc.
