I don't know if you should worry that much about weight. I think my shell is around 200 lbs, and didn't notice much on driving and MPG. maybe lost a few L/100km but I also have "bigger" tires and I stopped driving like a grandma lol With the V6 you should be fine with 200 more lbs

I get what ur saying, but that 200 lbs I'm talking a out is on Top of the weight of the aluminum, so total would be more like 400lbs for the front, the rear and the sliders all sprayed with LineX. Yeah yeah it's a truck it can handle the weight. Just spend more money on a new suspension system if ur worried a out weight haha I get it, I'm not 100% sold on the steel, in my mind it just seems excessive, but at this point even buying a bumper is excessive to me since I can' justify the purchase with the lack of wheeling I do hahahaha so I may come around to seeing the other side when I actually go to buy one but for right now I feel like the aluminum would better suit my needs.

It is not always fair for everyone on days like today, but at least you'll have a full day...

I'm at the shop right now. I'll spend a few hours here and then maybe go back home to try to clean my driveway from all this ice... a lot a job are cancelled today, and I won't go try to drive the 10 wheeler on ice and put it in the ditch

haha yeah I get it. I would love to have a bumper too but don't see the necessity.... Have you considered a front recovery bar or the U.S offroad hidden winch set up? Those are cool, and if I would be to make a move I would highly consider them! might as well build my own front recovery tho... saw one on TW and seem to be fairly easy to build for a novice, and a good welding project!:welder:

Yeah I have looked at those as well and they are pretty bad ass but I would start there then probably want a bumper eventually any ways hahaha EAF points bro. I remember u talking about doing that a while ago.

That's what I was thinking when I said it hahaha

Yeah it is in process in my mind lol building a front recovery bar and eventually I would be able to add a front receiver for a winch. Don't need a winch tho lol will see what happen in the future, maybe the need will come haha
