Give him a call and talk to him about what you're looking for. Super nice guy and very helpful when you can get him on the phone.

Went out to Knik Glacier over the weekend. Super fun and met some local members. Everyone had super nice rigs. Makes me want to put more money into mine...

Also, can someone let me know if they can see my pictures? I can't see them when I post them, but I'm also on my phone so I'm not sure if that's the reason.

Hmmm it looks like all pictures on my build page aren't showing up. My Photobucket isn't full so I'm not sure what's going on...

I guess I'll be using TW live now to post truck pics.

In other news, I finally ordered some tire deflators to replace the ones that were stolen in my break-in last summer. Can't wait to quickly and easily air down again.

After playing around on the flats and sand dunes...it really got me thinking about switching up suspension haha. Although I will say, the OME stuff did a pretty awesome job even though I was going way too fast for my liking. I hit some of those dips and bumps around 50 and didn't bottom out once.

BUT it got me thinking about mid travel...any recommendation on brand of suspension for that? Only thing I'm somewhat familiar with is king and fox. Well, icon too I suppose. Is it pretty much just pick a color on those?

Basically pick a color. They are all good options

That's pretty much what I thought. I think I'll start off with new UCAs first and go from there.

That's a good plan, it's what I did. Get a better alignment and it'll improve the ride a little

Mike, before you throw money at it I'd ask to ride with someone that has a suspension you'd like to try. I didn't notice anything with the UCA's. I'm not saying they aren't worth it especially if you need the alignment help but I think the LCA and ball joint is the limiting factor on actual suspension travel on the first gens. A mild LT would ride a lot better than an expensive mid travel set-up ;)

Oh for sure. UCAs would be for alignment issues right now. I'm all over the road currently. I should take it in for another alignment and see what they say. Any recommendations on shops for lifted trucks?

I've used Alignment Center of Alaska before and was happy there. I know they handle lifted rigs. Alaska Spring also does them, that's where GTF takes rigs to get alignments done.

So I picked up a 20lb CO2 tank for free the other day. It’s full but needs to be hydro tested. I’ll need to pick up a regulator and hose for filling tires with. Anybody have recommendations on where to get those? Not power tank as they are super expensive.

Got my stuff at Wheelers. I got the high flow variable one so you can go up to 200+psi for tire filling. Still not that cheap but well worth it. No good quality regulator is going to be cheap.

A guy was selling it on Facebook for $100. When I asked if the hydro was current he said he didn’t know what that meant. So he called Air Liquide and determined it was out of hydro and said I could have it for free haha.

Sweet! Yeah I want a good quality one, not cheap. Just less expensive lol. So 200+psi is what you want for tire filling? What about if I wanted to run an air tool on it?

yeah i just open it up wide and fill tires. Takes around 30 seconds to do a 35x12.5r15 from 10psi to 32 haha super fast.

To run air tools that is all the more reason to get the variable regulator. Most air tools operate at 90psi-120psi. So you just turn it down to that and connect the tool and do your thing.
