Still unsure after reading every thread I could find on it: does anyone know if OEM aluminum 16x7 "swirled 5 star" wheels on an '02 Tacoma 4x4--part #s 426110C020 & 426110C03)--will clear Tundra 231mm calipers part # 13WL without spacers? [IMG]
    Much appreciate the help...

These were standard on Tundras as well.

This is the other type of 16" wheel that came with the "OffRoad" version (this is a 2006)

Are all tundra rotors the same, no matter the caliper?

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
The s13we is the smaller (earlier) Tundra caliper.

    13wl is the larger caliper

The rotors are larger for the 13wl. A lot of time you will see 13wl listed somewhere in the description of the rotor if it's for 13wl.

It's a pretty safe bet they will be 13wl rotors if you get them to fit 05 ir 06 Tundra or Sequoia.

This write up should cover it all.

So rotors stayed the same size, just different thickness.

The diameter of the Tacoma, the s13we, and the 13wl is basically the same... but the diameter of the rotor is not the "size"... 231mm is the thickness of 13wl. 199mm is the thickness of s13we.

That doesn't make any sense. 231mm=9.09 in. 199mm=7.83 in. I am going to assume that is the effective piston surface area for each caliper, and has nothing to do with any thickness. Otherwise I can't really see what that would be measuring. That linked write up falsely claims it is the size of the brake pad, which it clearly is not. oh well. I guess I'm just a stickler for details.

 Tacomas don't come with s13we calipers, well mine is s12wm(can't see but I do see the s12). But I'm not talking about the calipers I'm talking about the rotors.

Never said the Tacoma came with s13we.

    I said the diameters of:
    The Tacoma
    The s13we
    AND The 13wl
    are basically the same.

You are right... sorry trying to do too many things at once.

The 231 vs 199 is in fact the difference in sizes of pad (or probably the surface area more specifically). The 231 is thicker than the 199 rotor but that is not what the number is referring too.

At this point I'm not sure what the question even is. There's a difference between the s13we and the 13wl. They wont work together.
