    x2.

I was worried about breaking the ball off the bottom of the shifter with the U.R.D. (felt like I was giving too much pressure when downshifting). The Core shifter is a complete unit, so the shifts are nice and smooth. Almost feels like OEM. No clearance or noise issues at all. Very happy

Have had this setup for 2 years and same unit on 2 different tacos and it's been great. No slop yet and absolutely love the t-handle. Big difference from stock.

I'll sell you my U.R.D for $50 if you're interested. No pics in the rig. It was nice and it does shorten the throws, but it feels smoother with the Core shifter. I really only had issues when downshifting. It felt like I was forcing it, but again, everyone/every truck is different. There are many people running the U.R.D w/o any issues.

I liked the URD but I LOVE the Hurst/Core. Just need new bushings now...

Here you go: I have a custom made shift knob that is a bit larger than the stock one. Haven't had any probelms with my bushing.

I currently run a black delrin machined ball for my shift knob,

I may call and see if I can buy the Core kit for less and not have a shift knob sent.

    Decisions Decisons!

I like the wood because it doesn't get all that hot sitting in the sun.

@NotRed, where did you get that ram mount for your cb mike? I’ve been looking for a good way to mount mine.

I got them from the Ram Mount website www.rammount.com/components
    https://www.rammount.com/part/RAM-B-125BU
    https://www.rammount.com/part/RAM-B-202U-23
    https://www.rammount.com/part/RAP-B-201U-A

I usually have my HAM mike in there and the CB mike just laying in the boot though.
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...callsign-thread.260643/page-143#post-14991791

You may want to just use the panavise mount shown. The one I have my HAM faceplate mounted to now. I used to have my CB mike clip on it. It is very easy and clean.

Finally installed mine yesterday. Install was pretty straight forward, had to use the 3lb hammer to knock off the old shifter base, otherwise no issues. I ran a TRD SS for about three years and loved it, but this thing is next level. Crisp shifting, especially 1st to 2nd, no play whatsoever and I love running through the gears with the SC. It’s a wee bit taller and with the 1” body lift I get the ‘truck’ back instead of a car feel when shifting. Took the advice of others here and liberally applied the lock tight so hopefully no future loosening up of the setup.

Don't remember the round piece but the slotted piece replaces the plastic at the top of the shifter boot and goes through the shifter shaft. Round piece might go under the shifter boot. Had mine for almost three years and had to cut out some of the stock rubber boot that fits under the leather boot so that piece might be a replacement for that.

I lost my install instructions and that website doesn't have anything, were you guys able to reuse the second rubber boot? the one held on by the pins? I remember seeing something about taking out the staples or cutting it but it wont fit over the new shifter assembly so im curious if its reused?

thanks you would think there would be install instructions on the website, but you just had to cut that second boot a little bit?
