The diesel motors are notorious for sensor failure. I had a ton.

When she was on the road she was amazing. The tune was gold for this car.

I loved my 330i but damn, the maintenance was a pain, especially after warranty is up.

The a/c and heater core had issues - $2300. Then a few months after they fixed that, I presume by tearing the dash apart the radio/display went on the fritz. Fixed a small portion of that and then dumped it. I'm sure many have BMW's that last and last but if you get one with problems. Kiss your ass and your wallet good bye.

What kind of heater core issue costs $2,300?

It was $1700 and then some other things were repaired at the same time. That trip was $2300. Maybe you are missing the point? It's expensive to own a BMW if things start to go wrong with it.

Nope. Not missing the point. I know owning let's say premium cars can be expensive. The last 6 cars the wife had owned was a BMW, 2 Lexus's, 2 Mercedes and now her current AMG Mercedes. But honestly I am referring to routine maintenance expense. She bought all of them new, owned them 2-3 years each and none of them ever had to take a trip back to the dealer for repairs. Not even for warranty work.

I guess I can brag on my Tacoma too. It is now 6 years old and the only money I had to spend was for a new battery. Did however have the dreaded P2442 error code the 2012's are notorious for. Air pump and valve failure.
Toyota replaced it under a "Goodwill Warranty" saving me about $1,800.00. So I guess I would say owning any modern car could be considered expensive to repair under certain circumstances.

That's a 10 year old truck? Damn thing looks brand new. Guess those T/A's turned out helped keep it looking nice -n- young.

Traded a 2013 Fiat 500 and a 2007 Ram 1500 QC for my 2012 Tacoma. No pics of the Ram unfortunately. It was black with a 4/6 drop, K&N intake, Flowmaster exhaust and a tune putting just shy of 400 ponies to the rear wheels only. Fiat was on Madness springs trimmed for a 3/4 drop and had a Road Race Motorsports rear sway bar, carbon front brace bar, K&N short shot intake, NEU-F short shift adapter, and muffler delete.

Sold my first love... bought it for $800 bucks in 1993. My father and i built it. I stopped using it and it sat in my garage. It was an absolute blast to drive. 450hp small block with a viper spec t-56 trans, baer brakes, man did it move for a big car 12.43 @ 111.

Sold the 4runner after the Chevelle cause it was getting older and had the itch for a new truck

Bought this to replace my 4runner. 2016 double cab 6spd manual.

I miss the days when you could buy old American muscle for next to nothing. My brother bought a damn near immaculate 67 Impala in 1990 for $700 and I bought a '70 Beetle for $400 the same year. I went through a handful of late 70's - early 80's Malibus never paying more than $500, then picked up a '73 Chevelle with Landau for $350 in '97. Sold that in early '99 for something modern. I miss those old cars.

That Level II looked sweet! I had an 02 FX4 dual stick. The original Level II before it was named it in 03. I had it leveled on 32 bfgs and had the original alcoa wheels polished. Wish I had a better picture :(
