Antenna mount? Looks better than drilling a hole.

    Or am I dumb.

They're all over AZ, must've been popular option for the local dealers. Saw a nice black one the other day.

Beat to hell 5-lugs are all the rage in the Bay Area. Seems like every gardener and shady contractor in the state has a 1st gen 5-lug Tacoma.

Socal is the same way. LOOOOOTS of doublecab TRD prerunners being used as gardener trucks. If its not that, its a 90's Pickup dually with a stake bed filled with lawnmowers. Pushing those little 22R motors to greatness.

Solid little units, the 2RZ is a good engine and manual transmissions hardly ever break. I'd love a little 2WD Taco but I don't really have a use for another truck, can get them for a grand around here though.

That cheap? Wow. The highest mileage 5-lug here goes for $2,000-$3,000 at the lowest.

That guy on here that made it to 998,000 had a 5-lug 2RZ.

They're a dime a dozen, 4WD and things that ride at 4WD height are far more popular and demand a higher price.

Buy any old POS and learn to drive stick, hell you're in HS still right. Gotta have a friend with a ratty old Jetta or someone with an old Datsun or something right?

Ha... half the kids in my class doesn't even know how to put gas in their car let alone drive a stick. I know two people who have a stick shift and one of them doesn't even know how to drive it.

It's also a reaaaallly nice Honda Prelude and I'd feel bad burning the clutch in it.

    a dying art almost.

Glad two of mine are manuals. Teaching the gal on my single cab now that she can practice daily. Thats the big part. Not hard to learn, but hard to get really good and comfortable. Takes repetition more than anything.
