Soon-To-Be Tacoma owner, mid-March time frame. I have several items I would like to purchase for it before it goes home with me. I would really appreciate guidance from all of you who have done this.

    1) All-Weather Mats: A)Husky, B)WeatherTech, C)Toyota OEM
    2) Sliders, I would like to use as a step too (I'm short and trying to reach the ground getting out, the step will be nice: A)RCI, B)Demello, C)?
    3) Armor- Skid Plate back including LCA protection (and would like to keep weight in mind, my focus currently is on back-country exploration and fast driving on fire/logging and desert roads, and fuel economy.

    Thanks!

I was impressed with OEM Toyota rubber mats that came with my truck, but I pre purchased weather techs before I picked my truck up. I really like the weather techs, I feel they are worth the money.

Go with Husky Xact fits, many of us have had the Weatherfails or Weathergaps. Even I have had them, and bought the Husky Xact fits and will never go with the Weatherjunk again.

In my opinion, the OEM Toyota mats are absolute garbage.

Apart from the anchored driver's mat they also slide all over the place. A passenger up front only has to get in the truck one time to kick the mat way up behind the glove box.

    None as of yet
I have husky and love them. Fit is great and they go up the sides more than the OEM toyota to keep gunk from getting under them.

I have the Husky weatherbeaters. More firm plastic than the x-acts. Great coverage and they wipe down super easy. My only con is the drivers side locking clips keep undoing. But all the husky mats have nubs on the bottom so they don’t move at all.

First post. . .took delivery today of a 2018 Super White TRD Offroad Double Cab Short Bed. Question on the Husky mats (I've had Weathertechs in the past). . .
The Husky website only shows rears available for 2018. Does anyone know if the 2017 mats will fit? I would assume so as I don't believe Toyota made any changes but wanted to check before ordering. Thanks!

I’m running the weather techs and have no complaints. Fit well, look good, and protect. What more could you ask for?

I have the OEM rubber mats that came with my 2017 Sport. I like them, but if I had something with a little more surface area, I would be much happier. I insist on the rubber mats. I have WeatherTechs in my suburban and I hate the hard plastic texture, but it's the family car and I am not the primary drive. I will switch to carpet style mats in the summer (because I drive barefoot a lot).

Does anyone have a side by side pic of the Husky Xact mat compared to the OEM to get a feel if the Husky has more surface area and covers more of the door threshold? It would help a lot of us understand if the Husky is purchase is worth it.

those Husky contour mats are awesome but the soft version doesn't have a MT truck fitment. OP those are ok if you're in a AT truck only.

The 2018 is a little different. I emailed Husky and they hope the 2018 version will be out in mid-Feb.

Husky brand. Had them on my auto 17 and they were great. My 18 came with all weather's.. They are ok for now. The auto ones don't fit the manual.

I like Husky's. I've got the OEM, and while adequate, doesn't give me the coverage I had with the Husky's in my old truck. I will be ordering Husky's.

Probably a manufacturing mistake somewhere. I've had them for 2 years now and they have matched perfectly from day one
