I do not recognize aforementioned vehicles as legitimate or as categorical “race” cars. Where I live, Jettas and GTIs are generally used to transport 2 male companions wearing clothes they purchased at Express “Men” to a dinner date.

 

The 2nd gen Tacoma's sit 1 inch lower than the 3rd gen. So when you guys talk about 3 inch lifts, are we saying 3 inch higher than stock 3rd gen? or are we talking 2 inches only? I ask because all the suspensions are transferable between the tacomas.

 

All the stuff available only equates to a 2” to 2.5” lift on the 3rd gen. My ADS coilovers for example, I had them custom built to give me a true 3” over stock so that I can run 35s.

 

Where I used to live (near Coronado, friend) every single white Jetta was driven by a hot girl. The hottest. And where I am now, I encountered the hottest girl in the region. White Jetta. By my estimation, there was a mass migration of adult men who jumped the VW bandwagon and latched on to tacomas. Beware...

So your lift in the front is all coil over ? Is there anything else you have to do upfront to achieve this?

 

Another question for trident or anyone that can answer it. You say 3" is perfect. Are you talking about your true 3" or the 3" every else talks about.

 

Probably means a little less than 3” cause it puts less stress on all the front end components.

 

I’m at exactly 3” over stock ride height.

 

What else to do in front to get the 3 inches ? Sounds funny lol

 

Get quality coilovers like these from Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road and have them preset for a legit 3”.

 

No control arm or anything else ?

 

You would need new UCAs.
